ChrisJM981 924 Posted November 2, 2015 You can ban all skeet & trap guns and I wouldn't give two shits. That is if I didn't know they'd becoming for me next. Fuck this state. I hope Weinberg and her cronies die a fiery death.
JohnnyB 4,328 Posted November 2, 2015 I have a good friend who believes in having lots of mags per gun. I can't afford 20+ mags per gun but he has spent $$$$ on mags alone! Who will reimburse him if the limit changes??? Better yet, we need 34,000 signatures and have 5 weeks left to recall Sweeney and are 14,000 signatures shy of that goal! How about some volunteers coming forward to help make this happen so we won't have to worry about losing more of our 2A rights!!!!!!

67gtonut 847 Posted November 2, 2015 Wow.... a member asks an opinion on 10rd mags on a pure range plinker gun..... and we go down a rabbit hole with stuff HE never asked about..... pretty much admonishing for not caring about using the gun has a HD weapon..... and then of course.... getting into politics..... JohnnyB 4,328 Posted November 2, 2015 Troy, If every thread stayed on topic the world would be a boring place! Conversations always go off on tangents! Live and let live! This forum is about guns in NJ. If we were a free state, life would be good and politics would be a minor subject if at all! Since we live in one of the WORST states in out great nation, politics touches most every subject! We are mostly here to promote pro 2A rights for the people of NJ. There are some fudds and that's fine! Since our goal is to let the rest of the free states know of the the archaic laws we live by, we can't afford to toss every political thread in a hidden 1A forum! I am interested in your thoughts on this subject!!!

ChrisJM981 924 Posted November 2, 2015 Back on track. I don't like 10 rd mags. When I get out to shoot I like to put 10 rounds in a mag. That last round is usually a pain to get in.
ronhonda 86 Posted November 2, 2015 SIG P320 decent striker fired gun. Also the more ammo for me, the merrier for.
SW9racer 262 Posted November 2, 2015 As a range toy, the 10 round mag is not ideal. It is typical that squeezing in that last round will stress whatever loader you are using, possibly sending the mag flying across the room. The next issue is trying to seat that mag, which takes quite a hammer-hit with your palm. This has a few bad outcomes of injuring your hand, dropping the pistol, or the mag dropping out. All of these are unsafe conditions, to the point that they really are 9 round mags. As the typical range shooter puts 5 rounds per target, you will spend more range time loading than enjoying shooting.
RootSki 5 Posted November 2, 2015 For range time with my friends, I prefer 15 rounds. We often switch who is shooting once all of the magazines for that firearm are completed or the target needs to be changed, which ever comes first. He has 3 15 round mags and I have 1 15 and 2 10's. I really enjoy the extra rounds when I shoot his gun.
RecessedFilter 222 Posted November 2, 2015 Its not a home defense gun! Its for fun, recreational range use. Here the OP stated what the use was for the pistol...
gunnarsport 13 Posted November 2, 2015 The FNH FNS-9 is available with either the 17 round or 10 round kit. I am a member on the FN Forums and ALL of the guys who own the FNS-9 with the 10 round tell me they are no issues at all with them as far as loading the last round. Should I even be considering a pistol with 15 rounders if they will become illegal/banned soon??

Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted November 2, 2015 Why does this thread smell like a setup I don't really believe it's a setup, but the OP does indeed seem to be obsessing over 10 round mags and mag capacity lately. ChrisJM981 924 Posted November 2, 2015 Magazine capacity is irrelevant if the gun you are holding , does not fit your hand, has sights that are hard for you too see, or in a caliber that is too beefy for your too handle. Forget capacity for now, there are more important things that you need to think about. I agree. Fit is more important than capacity.

9X19 125 Posted November 15, 2015 And let's be realistic and be Perfectly clear...you WILL have a max ten round capacity in nj Sooner than you think.....so it will be a moot point 100 % correct Nick. As soon as Christie leaves office it will be 10 rds, and God knows what else. And I bet we will not be allowed to be Grandfathered our 15 rounders either.
9X19 125 Posted November 15, 2015 HBecwithFn7, I certainly wouldn't call it "tragic." There are MUCH more important issues in NJ than the magazine limit going from 15 to 10, in my opinion. It is when each little restriction adds up to total gun contol/disarmament.

JohnnyB 4,328 Posted November 16, 2015 9X19, You are being overly dramatic. NOBODY is coming to take our guns! Thats not gonna happen. Countries that confiscated guns from the populace and the resulting murders that followed: Turkey 1915-1917 1.5 million dead; Soviet Union 1929-1953 20 million dead; Nazi Germany 1933-1945 13 million dead; China 1949-1976 20 million dead; Guatemala 1960-1981 100,000 dead; Uganda 1971-1979 300,000 dead; Cambodia 1975-1979 one million dead. Australia, crime rate way up since gun ban.USA, New Orleans, door to door gun confiscation after the hurricane. Rifles, pistols, and shotguns were confiscated from Japanese-Americans in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor. Never say "That's not gonna happen"!!! 56 million people who felt that way died since 1915 because they lost the ability to defend themselves against tyranny!!! Australia and Great Britain are two recent examples of guns being banned and confiscated and the violent crime rates have increased steadily in both countries! Closer to home, look at New York City and the hoops you must go through just to own a handgun. I pray it does not happen here! With the Socialist path we are on I feel it may happen! By order of the Mayor, the police and National Guard went door to door and confiscated over 1,000 guns in New Orleans after Katrina! I for one would not want to be a member of a gun confiscation unit (Which they have in California) and bang on peoples doors announcing "we are here to confiscate your guns"! I think only the suicidal would volunteer for that duty!!! But Never say Never!!!
