Heavyopp 167 Posted July 8, 2016 sent another e-mail today.. Sounds like they don't know what to do with the applications that do not have an accompanying ccw from any state Yours and mine should have been pretty much the same timing Only difference is that I sent my Florida ccw along with the application I also own 51 acres of land in NH -- not sure if that had anything to do with the speed mine was processed
djw2033 28 Posted July 9, 2016 Just got a reply back stating they are curently processing all applications received on 6/24/16.

Gunnz 49 Posted July 11, 2016 Yep, Which you don't have PA with FL or Utah I literally never go to PA, drive through on my way to Ohio, not sure if it's worth me getting.
kirk2022 43 Posted July 11, 2016 If thats the case then I agree, Thats why I only had Utah, I needed PA as I am there A lot shooting competitions and Traveling. Im not A permit collector but the NH works for Me. With Utah out in PA.
Gunnz 49 Posted July 12, 2016 I spend time in Ohio and NC so Florida and Utah are good enough for me..... Rather spend the $100 on ammo.

NJGF 375 Posted July 13, 2016 I took the NRA basic pistol course at GFH. They took care of everything including the prints. Very easy.

JohnnyB 4,326 Posted July 13, 2016 I sent a copy of my DD-214 which shows my U.S. Navy service. Many states feel that if you were in the military and honorably discharged, you should know how to handle a gun!

Indianajonze 379 Posted July 14, 2016 you should stop bothering them. just let it run its course. I agree with this. It was suggested to me by "people in the know" when I was bothering my pd over my permits that it could cause red flags. Someone so eager to own or carry a gun might need it for something urgently... Someone so eager to own or carry a gun might need it for something urgently... well i sent it out almost a month ago and they haven't ever started on mine.. she told me "please send all e-mails to me when inquiring about permit status." so that what i did. i am in philly 3-4 times a week so just trying to get things moving... as far as red flags i have never got a speeding ticket and normally get my p2p back in under 2 weeks... GrumpyOldRetiree 38 Posted July 14, 2016 you should stop bothering them. just let it run its course. I agree with this advice, but I can understand his impatience. Even though I applied a lot later and have no immediate need for the permit, I still feel like a little kid the week before Christmas.
JohnnyB 4,326 Posted July 14, 2016 I have a feeling that the delay in this case is because they are unsure if the NJ FID card will satisfy their any state's CCW requirement. If they do accept it, PA will drop reciprocity with NH really fast! If they don't accept it, they could be in violation of their State Supreme Court order. I think PA would freak out if all NJ FID cardholders suddenly became eligible to carry in PA due to a loophole in New Hampshire! FID cards are common in the PRNJ Though not as many take the time, effort and expense to get a non resident CCW. Those of us in Jersey with ANY CCW are in an extremely small minority! Perhaps small enough so as not to be a catalyst for a PA reciprocity change. I am certain that their legal people are going to make a decision one way or another. My Florida CCW should be in the mail, on it's way to me by tomorrow. When I get it in my hands, I will copy it and send for my NH CCW the same day. It's all wait and see for now! sroc112 24 Posted July 14, 2016 I have a feeling that the delay in this case is because they are unsure how to handle the NJ FID card satisfying the state CCW requirement. As someone who currently only hold a nj fid and no ccw permits, I am waiting to see how this plays out so I know if I will be approved too or need to get a FL permit first
