My GF's car has some pretty foggy/oxidized headlights. I've been doing some internet digging on ways to fix the problem aside from new housings.
So, I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with some of the kits available for lens restoration for oxidized housings. I have heard good things about the Sylvania kit.
There is also the simple do it yourself way with some automotive wet-dry high grit ( ie 2000-3000grit) sandpaper, soapy water and then some plastic polishing compound ( equivalent to 5000 grit I think).
Thanks for any help/opinions.

Time to replace our tires on the LR2 as they're almost out of legal tread. Anyone recommend somewhere to have the new tires fitted within a 20 mile radius of Secaucus (Hudson County). I've seen there is a STS Tire in East Rutherford and Jersey City. There's also PEP Boys and some independents.
We'll most likely order the tires from TireRack.

Anyway, as some of you may know, my '97 Maxima is currently sitting around until I can get it fixed after being rear-ended by a Mays landing driving instructor. Though this probably happened the other day (as my mom mentioned her car being broken into again) I just noticed about an hour ago that my car was broken into, and that stuff was scattered around inside.
I think they first looked through my glove compartment, since everything in there was emptied out onto the seat. The funny thing is, my center console hardly had anything moved around in it. Only the papers at the very top were taken out of the console, and left on the driver's seat, it also looks like they got out of there in a hurry since they left a set of sunglasses and a phone charger in my car.
The papers at the top of my center console? NRA membership papers I never sent in XD.
Oh, and before you ask, no, we didn't bother calling the police, car break-ins have been going on around me for a few months with regularity. The last time my mom's car was broken into, they ended up releasing the guy with no charges despite his lengthy criminal record of drugs/theft/assault charges.
As usual, the police around here are worthless for anything but traffic violations.

I think this ammo was bought during the pandemic where it seems like quality control went out the window. I should have taken a picture of the primers today after shooting. Some had some pretty deep indents. I shoot da/sa. The thing that was a bit alarming was sometimes it didn't go off on the second attempt of dropping the hammer and sometimes it did. -
It’s possible it’s the ammo. Try a box of something from Federal-Federal primers are known to be the ‘softest’. If you get misfires still, the gun is again the prime suspect of course you’ll ultimately want it to run with any ammo, but I’ve known revolvers that can’t seem to get to 100% ignition double action with any other primer

I've been getting light primer strikes lately with my CZ. It's happening mostly with some remington 9mm I bought. It has an extended firing pin and is certainly hitting the primer so I don't believe it's that. Maybe the spring needs replacement? I did the pencil test and the pencil flew about 7 feet. Is it just hard primers/crappy ammo? Gun has about 7/8k rounds through it. -

Happened almost a year ago (5/23/23) on Easton Ave. Has anyone heard anything more about this? I can't find anything on on google.
