5 pointsSo, I did a lot more talking than shooting - either with a gun or a camera apparently. I also took a few pictures out due to member requests. The below are the lower-resolution versions. If you want a full-size version of one, right click the picture, copy the link, paste it in a new browser window, and remove the "s" in front of the ".jpg" and hit enter. Those files are 5-8MB each. Hope you like em. @Smokin .50 - Thanks for asking. Per user requests, you do NOT have permission to use the photos with 10, 11, 12, 22, or 23 in the filename. The rest, I give my permission to use. However, if anyone does ask you to not use a photo with them in it, I ask that you abide by that, and immediately remove the photo if requested.

3 pointsDefine "long range" Define "precision" Define your mission I don't shoot 77's. I regularly keep up with an often beat the big 7's. This is at 600 where they should be cleaning up. I also beat a lot of 30's and I'm not sore at the end of the day as they often are. I don't armchair anything. If I speak about it, it's because I know from experience. I'm not busting your balls. I'm a fan of 90% of what you say most times. However when you're wrong, you're wrong. And in this case, I feel you're wrong. The charts, which I did not post, are just a few posts up.

2 pointsIf you need a letter from your doctor, it doesn't have to be about firearms. Make it simple... Have him evaluate if you are a threat to others or yourself, that's all. No reason for why.

2 pointsI erroneoulsy call "reds" "browns" and vice versa. I struggle to identify an "intermediate" phase. Add to that the "split" and things get complicated. Mostly grays and reds I've found in Maine. New Jersey & PA I have found red, split, brown and intermediate phases. Mostly grays are what I've taken in New York. My largest red phase taken in Maine: Early season grouse are tough because of the thick cover with leaves still on trees. In states where seasons extend to February, like NY, late season grouse are tougher to find but are more easily hunted without a dog. There is no comparison to hunting w/o a dog and hunting with a good bird dog. And shots on grouse are by far the most humbling experience in the upland world.

1 pointhttps://olive-drab.com/archive/JSCS_DA-PAM_27-50-299_16.txt A little dated but still a great overall history of the use of Shotguns in combat covering WW1, WW2, Malaysia and Vietnam.

1 pointThe only problem is that they will say face to face is not eliminated. Private sales between family members, and two active LEO’s is still OK. If they banned all face to face entirely then there might be a chance of of the FPID and P2P going away. But we still have to try and call our legislators. Stupid laws and most people here are just biding their time.

1 pointhttps://www.ammoland.com/2018/10/50-years-of-infringements-after-gca68-show-only-constant-is-obsession-with-control/#axzz5Unhtfj60 The Dems have been trying to stick it up our a$$e$ for the past 50 years. Connecticut Senator Thomas Dodd copied the Nazi gun laws almost verbatim and created the legislation that became the Gun Control Act of 1968, signed into law on 10/22/68. May everyone involved in this infringement of our Constitutional rights burn in hell.

1 pointSo NJ's "all firearm possesion is illegal except.... " is a direct contradiction to Scotus's the right to keep and bear arms is a personal right. Unless you think that NJ has the authority to outlaw a right. Free Ids to vote is burdensome but >$100 to jump through the fingerprinting, background checks, FPID and permit fees, is okay. Lets not forget that NICS is free, but NJs check cost money. Since NJ doesn't have the power to overide US constution, and NJ's entire gun law is based on the "illegal except" premise. NJ's entire law as written is unconstitional. But yet it stll stands. Why?
-
1 pointI did not know either until the other day when I shot a grey and a brown. Now I want to collect a tail from all the variations. Lol. After hunting grouse with my buddy's dog I am now on the hunt for a reputable vizsla breeder near me to get on a list for a spring puppy. Pheasants are hard enough to hunt without a dog but grouse are really hard to hunt without a dog. Then it's near impossable to find them once you down one!

1 pointYou should see @Fzaetz's manual thrower on a stick... man that thing whips 'em at amazing speeds.

1 pointWhat loss leaders do you offer in your business? What is your labor worth on an hourly basis? All those who want to place blame on the FFL’s are the same folks that have stated for a few years they will not buy anything from a local store in Nj and will travel to PA for long gun purchases / transfers. I would like a list of the business’s members of this thread own as I would like to demand products and services at cost. It’s the right thing to do since I am over taxed in this state. You should stand by the people of NJ.
-
1 pointIf I buy From Bob’s gun shop I can expect a transfer fee. If I buy from Bob in Pa I can expect a transfer fee. But if I buy From @BobA I shouldn’t expect a transfer fee? Doesn’t make sense. No one is happy about it. Focus your energy on calling your legislators... there is no longer a justification for FPID and P2P since face 2 face has theoretically been eliminated. Jeebus you guys are blaming and attacking everyone. Who’s next? The crossing guards?
-
1 pointIf they have to do exactly the same things as they did when you buy a gun through gunbroker, except don't have to unpack it, why would they charge significantly less? They have to log it according to ATF, so time, effort, and expenses are still incurred. Am I happy about it? Of course not. But when transfers take away time from paying customers, I don't expect any freebies. If someone local did it for $20 all-in, I would be more likely to go there, but not faulting a dealer for the shitty situation forced on all of us. Based on everything we see, there are likely dozens of unknowingly illegal transfers by otherwise law-abiding subjects going on every day anyway. And I hope non-compliance is high among the clued-in as well.

1 pointOld Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club is an easy drive from Tinton Falls. Indoor range rated for up to .45 cal pistol rounds (no magnums, but pistol caliber carbines are OK). Outdoor range is 7 pits PLUS a dedicated scattergun range for clay birds. No need to be a One Trick Pony & you're your own R-O! http://www.obrpc.org
