My LGS and range is selling Blazer 9mm for $14 a box and always has it in stock! A formal NJ CLEO who refuses to cheat his patrons!

@Pizza Bob is still purchasing! I went by the township building the other day. They gave him his own parking spot right outside of the P.D.!

You all seem pretty concerned over the proposed Millionaire's Tax, something that will have little direct effect on any of us (unless there are a lot of closet millionaires on here). I'd be a hell of a lot more concerned about the proposed firearm permit charge increases, which I believe are part and parcel of the same bill. I hope that ANJRPC has their injunction ready to file the minute Murphy signs this POS bill. Adios, Pizza Bob

You just need to re-frame this to cause him pain. "Gays and Lesbians hardest hit by this policy" "This is devastating to the Trans community"

(Against my better judgement, but here goes anyway) Apparently that's WHY they're childless.

IMO, You should always hardwire the Xbox.

Unfortunately that's not a sustainable business model. In the current market, your LGS will be unable to replenish stock anywhere near that price.

YABT (Yet another BBQ thread) I was trying to figure out what to smoke this weekend. While I am not Jewish, I do work for a Jewish company and have quite a few buddies who are Jewish. One mentioned that today was Rosh Hashanah. I figured maybe I'd find Brisket on sale. Walmart had it for $2.96/lb! So I ran over and grabbed one. I'm thinking of trying to overnight cook tonight. I'll trim it up properly and get the rub on there about 8pm and let it rest a bit with the rub. I put it on 10pm on 180, wrap in butcher at 6-7am and cook at 250 another 8 hours or when it hits 203. Rest for 2 hours in the cooler and eat at 6pm or there about. Can't wait!

This time of year you want to check your meter and manually put in the reading. They have a habit of estimating when the season changes to keep the bill up, when they know ussage drops significantly. They did it to us 3 year in a row, Oct and , Nov. Told us they used last year to help estimate, but last year was also an estimate... im gonna manually submit the meter reading this year cause I don't trust them... they come around all summer long when it reads high..

At $50 a permit, the state is going to make a lot more money off of @Pizza Bob than they will from the millionaires tax.

No one is missing the point of increased fees, we have had an open thread on it since news broke about it. I do appreciate the clarity that its part of this bill. However, my hopes are... and really just hopes because the state doesnt listen.. is that they will remove it from consideration as in the past. They don't serve to gain much money from it, certainly not enough knowing they will be sued over it... but their stupidity has never shocked me.

Reagan almost died being shot with a 22. The DC Metro officer and Brady were one shot stops with the same 22. I'm not advocating carrying a 22 for a primary SD weapon. However, I used to tell people during firearms training if they could put a 22 in the eye socket 100% of the time that's all they needed to carry. But they couldn't, I couldn't so we need to carry something bigger. Often said but hard to achieve in real life, shot placement is what stops.

What positive movement towards supporting 2A rights has there been in NJ (not federally) in the past 10 years? Has it become net easier or net harder to exercise your rights? Last 20 years?

I understand the economics of what he proposes - I'm just saying we should be more concerned, at this point, about the immediate effects to our community rather than the long term effects on the state as a whole. We are also dealing with a denial of our constitutional rights as opposed to just a skewed democratic economic plan. Adios, Pizza Bob

Bob, the reason it's an issue is that we've got corporations leaving due to high taxes and once you start taxing those with the means to move/relocate/adjust tax structure to make up budget shortfalls, those shortfalls will trickle down and we will have to pay them. If even 10% of the top 1% leave it leaves a huge hole

Thanks for the link. I'd not seen that one, and I've been watching a fair number of BBQ videos in recent months. The big names in competition BBQ have some great content out there. My wife wandered by my screen a week or so ago and asked "are you watching meat porn again?"

You can use your extra $500 to pay for that!

Yeah baby!!!! As a side note, we are making a gumbo this weekend. Shrimp, andouille sausage, chicken, and a smoked turkey leg I have in the freezer. Gonna be a gumbo kind of weekend.

I started with Cantor out of College and went through their trader training program. I was on the mbs desk for a few years and knew all of those guys very very well (as well as many others there that day). Call me racist or bigoted or whatever but I don't trust muslims, don't want them here as their religion is incompatible with western civ and will not associate with any of them. We've seen enough from that part of the world to know this and to argue otherwise is beyond foolish imho

Taxing stupid would provide a lot of income in this state. Although the state lottery is kind of a tax on stupid.

It more has to do an issue I had with NJ DoL. They wanted me to pay some money back. I went thru a Review board tribunual. I won the tribunual and the decision was that I owe nothing howerver NJ DoL are STILL sending me bills to repay the money. I am just trying to tell them that no money is owned. With all the Sh!t going on with the Unemployment in the state they could be swamped but it bothers me I cannot even talk to a person. There are 20-30k new NJ unemployed every week.

Basically he's taking $11,000 each from 35,000 millionaires so 800,000 families can buy 2 weeks of groceries next year. Is that really helping anyone?

Right. These people are not stupid, they know those that can will leave and revenues will fall short of projections. The milllionaries tax is just for openers. Increasing the sales tax is next on Murphy's wish list.

Bad, bad idea. Especially in the wintertime, when people wear heavier clothing. @High Exposure could tell you a story about birdshot in a suicide attempt.... Stick with 00 buckshot, a handgun, or an AR.

I took my 92FS Inox with the .22 kit to the range today with a friend who just got his first gun (the same gun). He never fired a gun in his life so I used my .22 converted pistol to train him how to shoot. When I was satisfied with his progress, I let him shoot his new 92FS for the first time. He did well once I finally convinced him to stop putting his left thumb behind the slide! I am completely happy with the conversion kit! It ran flawlessly from the first round to the last! Over 200 rounds of CCI Mini Mags.

Sometime it takes a while for the police to call you after you're approved. Just make sure the permit issue date is not too old. Because the permit will expire that much faster and give you less time for you obtain a firearm.

The tax increase raises $390mm, the payments are about $350mm. When the tax increase fails to raise enough to balance the budget, and it won't for obvious reasons , Murphy will then demand the threshold be lowered and the rebates will disappear - just like the property tax rebates of years past. Pretty soon anyone with a job will be paying that rate. Anyone with that income level is looking for an exit strategy. Anyone making that income has already crunched the numbers. The biggest challenge is what to do with their real estate. The dems already showed them how to work remote. I wasn't at that income level and I saved enough in income taxes the year I moved to pay for the entire relocation.

I was wondering if anyone has made any trips to PA side. I was usually around the Center Valley area before Covid. There could be some stores around that might be worth the trip.

I also bought from Target Sports USA a few months ago. Very happy with their service. I am expecting that our "Governor" might find a way to block online sales in the near future.

I have first hand heard a lawyer say based on how the law is written, if a person is shot with a hollow point, that person can be charged with illegal possession of a hollow point.

And it would be just as easy for the legislature to remove it, especially due to the overwhelming financial burden put on many of their constituents due to the covid fiasco (many of the same constituents who will blindly vote them in again so they can continue the pillaging).

That does look to be in good shape. I usually throw 1 in the Midway/Brownells cart just to add to the stash for my fleet of Marlin 60s/795s/70Ps.
