vjf915 456 Posted January 24, 2011 Although I plan to buy something with the money....I will probably be waiting until the school semester is over. I don't want to distract myself with a bunch of new toys.
fliks 20 Posted January 24, 2011 I already told the fiance that I am buying a gun with the refund. The rest goes towards the wedding. Chris gives "shotgun wedding" a new meaning.... I probably won't. The wife wants a new kitchen for like 3 years now - so that's gonna supersede my toys... ,maybe I can get a little .22lr rifle... anyone wanna part with one...cheap? siderman 1,140 Posted January 25, 2011 If your getting money back all it means is your giving the gov't an interest free loan with your money cause you paid too much. Some people like that, kind of a forced savings plan but again, no interest. Gonna be an interesting file this year as its the first one we aren't using either of our kids as dependants, we paid practically no interest on our mortgage as its almost done, not much else to write off so that'll free up some discretionary funds soon and that will buy my toys.I hope. Ray Ray 3,566 Posted January 25, 2011 One giant credit card bill
Shug 4 Posted January 25, 2011 It's like being at the sandbox with your new toys and and a couple of kids just can't stand to see you smiling and playing. Sorry fellas but I paid all my money back to the IRS last year and this year you are going to see me with my toys. Interest or no interest.
lunker 274 Posted January 25, 2011 One giant credit card bill Actually, I may backtrack on the gun purchase and do the same as you Ray. I hate paying someone else interest.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted January 25, 2011 Actually, I may backtrack on the gun purchase and do the same as you Ray. I hate paying someone else interest. I went overboard this Christmas, big time. Hopefully I'll get a nice chunk of change but it still won't be enough to elliminate the bill, but it'll knock it down considerably.
