Ok here is an interesting topic of discussion, I came across on another forum. What happened here was a California middle school was fired because she had appeared in a porno. She did this porno prior to her becoming a teacher, and she has been a teacher for a few years now. After putting her on paid suspension for the last month the school board decided that while she had not done anything illegal she had done something immoral, and that she would be a distraction to the students so the unanimously voted to fire her. So the question is what do you think on this topic?

 

My personal opinion is No I do not believe she should have been fired over something she did years ago which is not illegal. While it may be considered a distraction to the students there is a very simple fix to that. All they had to do was move her to a younger grade where you would not expect students of that age group to be looking at porn (like 4th grade and below), or a higher set of grades (like 11th or 12th) where while it may cause a little distraction it would be short lived.

 

If you think you need to do more "research" in to this topic, other news articals do include more information, but I do not think most if not all of that information is needed for a proper discussion here.

Its a double edged sword. On one side, I think she shouldn't have been fired. Why? Because how would the kids know she was in a porn? Middle Schoolers shouldn't be watching porn (do they, maybe. It is the 21st century and the propagation of technology makes it easier to obtain). But they wouldn't openly admit to having seen her. I doubt they would even know where to look (even though a quick google search yields AWESOME results *hint hint*)

 

On the other side, you have her teaching children. Its morally reprehensible to have engaged in such actions. But the past IS the past. And not only did she engage in such activities prior to employment, it was done legally.

 

I don't really know where to stand on this issue. I mean it would have been awesome to have a porn star as a teacher, but it would have distracted even more than what I already was at that age.

Now seriously. If her application asked about porn an she lied, then she should be fired for lying on the application.

Since I really doubt the application asked such a question, her past shouldn't be held against her. It was legal, it was before gettig a teaching job and she is no longer doing it. Let her keep her job and see how many lonley fathers ask for parent teacher meetings.

Firing her because of past actions is complete bs. Probably a bunch of religious conservatives, who have some kind of moral objection to pornography, but secretly watch it themselves.

 

I'll tell you this, if I knew one of my teachers was a porn star, I would've paid more attention in her class.

The problem is not the teacher, it is whether or not it creates distraction within the class. This is one of the only ways i can see her actually getting fired over. The board can't just fire her, they have to prove that she cannot be effective in the classroom because her work history creates distractions for students. I had a teacher get fired for this same thing, but it was a catholic HighSchool.

I guess I can see both sides. I don't think the big deal was her appearing in porn. However, the real issue is that it's hard to command the respect of the class when this information gets out. Plus it leaves her open to having students posting pictures of the porn in the class room, or something else.

 

What I find more interesting is how this was found out. I wonder if a student was taking a "break" from homework, and happened to notice the woman in the video he was watching looked an awful lot like his teacher. XD

Sometimes gotta love the absolutely screwed up so called "morals" of our society.

 

1) ZOMG somebody had legal sex on camera!!! Let's burn them at the stake. How dare they have sex, it's so unnatural....

2) Mr X is a lawyer defending murderers for a living... yay I want to be just like him. Or worse, let's enshrine the corrupt politicians that destroy our constitution and pass laws to benefit themselves and their buddies. Don't you kids want to grow up to be just like them?

I watched some video clips! She's very talented! I'd give her an "A" for effort!

 

She's gonna sue them, and win, and they'll give her some money and pay her lawyer as well. In the end, the taxpayers will lose.........

 

And then she'll write a book, do the talk show circut, and start producing her own videos and become a millionaire. The American Dream!

      We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in

This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam

      I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.

      Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
