pbkid6974 1 Posted December 23, 2012 I don't have an AR. I'm actually glad I don't have one. All this craziness with accessories, parts and ammo being out of stock everywhere has me glad I don't have to deal with it. So who's with me?

pbkid6974 1 Posted December 23, 2012 Not right now I'm not. Don't get me wrong, I want one. But, I'll be happy to buy one in a year or two when I don't have to deal with all this crap. I stopped at a gun store today just to have a laugh and see how bad it actually is with my own eyes. People are crazy.
TK421 2 Posted December 23, 2012 Not me, I have five, three fully functional and two under construction pending additional funds for things like barrels, rails and stocks (it really sucks being unemployed!) I look on the bright side, after being out of work for the last 9 months, even when I do find work, by the time I dig out of my current hole prices will be back to normal again. LOL
blksheep 466 Posted December 23, 2012 I nneed another one just because. Gun stores right now are like Wal-Mart on black Friday.

You'll make enough to finish the other 2 and start another when the prices come back down.

High Exposure 5,687 Posted December 23, 2012 If you didn't see this coming 4 years ago you are blind. I currently have a number of ARs, magazines, spare parts, and a comfortable stockpile of ammo and I haven't bought anything in the last 6 months. zoid 24 Posted December 23, 2012 I would be bummed out if I didn't get mine a few months back. I've always wanted one. I'm not happy that there is a chance it will be my only one and that I will have a hard time getting parts and mags for it. I see what you're saying, but personally if I didn't have mine I'd be upset because it has always been on my list of rifles i wanted to own.
vladtepes 1,060 Posted December 23, 2012 I own ARs.. am not scrambling for ammo or mags.. have both..
pbkid6974 1 Posted December 23, 2012 If anything happens it won't be for at least 2 or 3 years. The last ban came from something that happened in 1989. Then it took 4+ years to actually get something passed.

JackDaWack 2,895 Posted December 23, 2012 I basically own everything i want or need for my AR's. So, im pretty glad that my rifles and ammo just doubled in price. I could use more mags now, but i still have a decent amount. I'm just glad i was able to buy my stuff before this craziness. The past year was difficult enough buying. HE is right though, i smelt this coming for the past 2 years, i think we were borderline tin foil hat, but all it took was this little incident to push it all over the cliff. CageFighter 236 Posted December 23, 2012 I chose the SCAR route, not AR.
alowerlevel 77 Posted December 23, 2012 Im glad I built my AR last year, and already have decent stash of mags and ammo for it as well (from when you could get m193 for $280 per 1k shipped). But I cant find the 1911 Im looking for in stock anywhere, and thats starting to get frustrating, lol.
jermz1987 243 Posted December 23, 2012 Had to sell my AR a while back for the funds. Now I just have a A CX4 Storm with a bunch of mags, heck I was even considering trying to trade the Storm for an AR. Wish I had one.
mccabegc 0 Posted December 23, 2012 I had full intentions of buying 3 stripped lowers right after the first of the year. Sadly it appears everyone is going to be back ordered at that time =( Won't stop me from trying!
NicePants 58 Posted December 23, 2012 Hopefully these manufacturers produce more so that we can lower the damn prices. I was putting off getting my first AR, and now I'm regretting it because the prices are triple what they used to be.
SgtToadette 59 Posted December 23, 2012 I'm getting my AR together as fast as my $10 an hour budget can afford. I've had my lower since September or so. Just need the upper, but that's a $1300 purchase and the holidays hit me pretty hard.
pbkid6974 1 Posted December 23, 2012 I guess I'm the only one right now then. Everyone that has one has multiple and is prepared for the long haul, and if you don't you wish you had one. BTW, that scar doesn't count. it's not scary and black. It's ugly and tan. :-P
bulpup 98 Posted December 23, 2012 If you didn't see this coming 4 years ago you are blind.True datI am not an AR guy but I had my eye on a CX4 for the longest. I wonder, does the recent craze effect the 9 mm variety?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wojo 98 Posted December 23, 2012 I will never regret owning an AR. This is what our country taught me how to shoot, defeat communism with, do boardings with and protect my family with. Why would I ever be sorry for owning an AR? Am I missing something here? Numb nuts are everywhere. Are you sorry you asked this question? I'm guessing you never served your country. bobblackrifle 28 Posted December 23, 2012 Not having an AR is like not having a Colt 1911, or a lever action 30-30 , or a 357 mag, revolver. You realy should have at least one.

Why would I ever be sorry for owning an AR? Am I missing something here? Numb nuts are everywhere. Are you sorry you asked this question? I'm guessing you never served your country. No I'm not sorry. I didn't ask if anyone was sorry for owning one. There is nothing to be sorry about. I asked if anyone was happy they don't have one given the current circumstance. Like i said before, i would love to have ar. but current shortages on everything from ammo to parts and accessories, has me glad i don't have to deal with the craziness. So yes i do think you missed something. I think you misunderstood the question. no one should ever be sorry for legally owning any type of firearm. It is a right not a privilege, and you should use what you are comfortable with to exercise it.
