illy 1 Posted June 26, 2014 That has to be a joke, right? Exaggerated for comedic value. But some ads are not far off. I saw one recently asking $600 for used gun, plus accessories others may not want. Same gun retails for $450, new, everyday. Seller stated he paid more than $100 over the current new price, so $600 was firm. And you have to take the accessories too.
Kaiser7 33 Posted June 26, 2014 Ive seen that elsewhere too. On r/gunsforsale, someone wanted to buy 50rds of .32, and like, 100 rounds of 8mm mauser surplus for $40 shipped. Shipping alone would have been almost $20.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted June 26, 2014 Lmao at per sec, and dicks then the drive to the farm lmao

PK90 3,573 Posted June 26, 2014 We all know yours are over-priced so that is a given.
seamusSU 0 Posted June 26, 2014 I have an eery feeling you may be referring to my ad. If that's the case I am sorry I offended you with my price.

illy 1 Posted June 26, 2014 I have an eery feeling you may be referring to my ad. If that's the case I am sorry I offended you with my price. Definitely not you. EDIT: I just saw your ad (M9). That's a reasonable price. The guy(s) I'm taking about are way off. Sorry about the confusion.
seamusSU 0 Posted June 26, 2014 Ok. That's very reassuring. My listing is the first time I've tried to sell a firearm and just too a guess at depreciation vs. added stuff. I also made sure to have something about offers accepted...
jm1827 284 Posted June 26, 2014 And I think we will see more of these as the marked begins to selttle and more inventory becomes available and more people try to recoup the $$ they overpaid during the panic!
djg0770 481 Posted June 26, 2014 What? No call for price??

RUTGERS95 890 Posted June 26, 2014 I have to agree, I've found our marketplace to be expensive relatively speaking. There are definitely some good deals but by and large, it's people asking too much but if people buy......... prices are coming down on everything across the board, no need to overspend
raz-0 1,259 Posted June 26, 2014 And I think we will see more of these as the marked begins to selttle and more inventory becomes available and more people try to recoup the $$ they overpaid during the panic! Just as a PSA.. it's gone. It's never coming back.
illy 1 Posted June 26, 2014 For those holding over-priced stuff that they'd like to recoup on, just wait for Hilaria to get elected. That'll also be a good time to buy stock in firearms manufacturers. Don't say I never did nothin for ya.
Wojo 98 Posted June 26, 2014 Add the words pre-ban and immediately over charge by at least 50%.

BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 26, 2014 Well maybe people want what they want and don't really have to sell. If they don't get their price then they don't sell it. No big deal. This is why the old marketplace will never come back.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted June 26, 2014 Call for price gets me every time. WHAT the HELL are you hiding. OHHH high ass prices! What? No call for price??
pbkid6974 1 Posted June 26, 2014 If you don't like their price then don't do business with that person. Pretty simple actually.
illy 1 Posted June 27, 2014 I don't take issue with vendor pricing. And call for price is sometimes a distributor/manufacturer requirement. If you don't like their price then don't do business with that person. Pretty simple actually. Obvs. But I can also poke some fun, without calling out specific individuals. BD104X 1 Posted June 27, 2014 It's not just here. I was looking for a used generator on Craigslist and there was a guy selling a used Harbor Freight one for $20 more than Harbor Freight!

checko 180 Posted June 27, 2014 People always over value their own stuff. If you don't like it make an offer. If you're not lowballing most people are receptive
BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 27, 2014 The game is easy. Start high then take a lower offer closer to what you actually want. Not complicated. You don't want to play the game by making an offer then you stay out. No whining about it
Blake 50 Posted June 27, 2014 I try and price things reasonably when selling. A quick check of the bigger sites should give you an indication of an items current value. As others have said, make an offer if you dont like the price.
