With all do respect, you asked a question obviously about how a specific town or city handles gun paperwork! How can anyone answer your question without knowing which municipality you speak of? It's really a shame you know! You happened to stop at the #1 gun forum in this entire state by far! There are more experts in NJ 2A related law and general and specific gun knowledge here that you would never ever find anywhere else! We know all about cookies and such. We know what to post and what not to post for that reason. You have already met Maksim! He is the founding Administrator of this sight and you are off to a bad start here. Calm down and enjoy a combined wealth of knowledge you will never find the likes of anywhere! Oh and welcome to NJGF!

My point was for HD or SHTF a 5 or 10 round fixed magazine in a AR ruins that weapon. In the SHTF scenario, I would expect we would have the time to gather the needed tools to undo the permanent modifications.

so far 2 children have died while in custody in the US.. both children pretty much were killed by their parent (s) dragging them across the planet to gain access to America... Build the wall to help stop the deaths of innocent children.... If that wall could have saved just 1 life.... Where have i heard that

My mind still hasn't wrapped itself that we finally made it out of NJ. Only here in TN about 45 days. Been busy still unpacking and such. Got my CCW just after getting my new DL. Kind of goes hand in hand here. You get qualified, (in my case by a former FBI agent), then it arrives in the mail after you dump your application at DMV. Funny, when in class, chatting and mentioning NJ, are we bound by any dumb laws? He said, "you won't have any probs here with anything. Welcome to TN and free America".... Haven't scoped out what range to get to yet. But it's not uncommon to hear gun owners here either just plinking or hunting in the back Green Space.... Still getting use to carrying. Hardest part of being here is I had to put my dog to sleep... Been really bummed. Green Space from my back deck....about 40 acres....

I doubt any seller is going to want to return to the dealer again once he's been paid. NJ has delays and it has slow nics. Day before Christmas it was running 2 - 3 hours. 1. buyer pays seller then pays for his nics and transfer..., Nics is slow... Is the buyer comfortable with the seller leaving with a gun he just paid for while he waits for nics? What if the seller cant come back for a few days... You just handed a stranger cash and got nothing except a promise to return after Nics is cleared. 2. buyer pays seller then pays for his Nics and transfer. Nics is slow... seller now has to retain the firearm and return once again when Nics clears.. Would a seller want to deal with that? He's been paid... told other people its sold and now might not be. I think most sellers prefer to get paid and leave. Iv asked this question to people and most want a painless non worry transfer which means... Make the deal. Meet at dealer, Pay seller and be done... Buyer waits for Nics. Which ever way your dealer does it is not wrong... Both methods provide a legal transfer. its just how the transfer takes place... i suggest you ask your dealer prior to arriving how they conduct the FTF transactions. I do it the same way iv done it for 8 years. New law did not change anything when doing a FTF at least in my shop.

Sold something to fund it... but got me what I wanted for a long long long long time... 16" Vepr 2 K as imported by Robinson Arms over 14 years ago... new, unfired. ... that unfired part was fixed a few days ago. =) Top one is my Vepr 223 (also a Robinson Arms import)... 4th one down between that UZI and the suppressed Beretta is my Vepr 2 in 7.62x39.

Have shot a good amount of full auto and tax stamp at industry events and Shot Show Media Days... but here I was at a friends house 15 mins away from me in PA, getting together with a group of his neighbors to just go shoot. No one had the urge to go knock over a 7-11 or in any way be unsafe. No state police showed up and all of the neighbors were just fine with guns. Invited a couple of new shooters who had an amazing time.... although I am afraid their gun experience is ruined as they were shooting suppressed 1911s, 22s, a full auto Uzi and AKs for days. My two Veprs in the picture above... 223 and a 7.62x39. My SVT-40 however had a few issues... have to tear it down and see if gas or whatnot. The fun toys were NOT mine. God Bless America.... (and Israeli, Russian and German gun designers too...)

Most of the transfers I do the seller hands the firearm over after they have been paid and lets the buyer deal with NICS check on their own. Often the seller drops off the firearm ahead of time since they can't get a good time to meet up with the buyer, or the buyer is waiting for permits, OGAM, address change, etc. I let the seller know that they have the option of meeting the buyer and waiting for the NICS to come back, but most don't want to wait for it even knowing if the deal were to fall through the gun would need to be NICSed back to them. Knowing NICS denials are rare in NJ seems to be deciding factor in whether to wait out the NICS check or not.

Binary triggers are illegal in NJ because of a wording difference from the ATF definition of a machine gun. NJ definition of machine gun: "Machine gun" means any firearm, mechanism or instrument not requiring that the trigger be pressed for each shot and having a reservoir, belt or other means of storing and carrying ammunition which can be loaded into the firearm, mechanism or instrument and fired therefrom. ATF definition: Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger Trigger does not have to be pressed in order to fire a bullet with a binary trigger. Making it illegal in NJ.

The dependent class has out bred the working class here. Our school system is making sure the dependent class is kept properly stupid and anyone with a brain is made to feel guilty in some way for being smart enough to succeed. Original independent thought is discouraged and often punished.

Your ISP has data on everything that goes through your cable modem. Sites like these exist in one of two ways... advertising or memberships. Memberships do not cover it all, not nearly there, and as such we rely on advertising, predominantly seen by regular members and guests. Avant link is for affiliate marketing, so if you do shop through one of our banner ads, the site gets a small percentage, again, does not cost you anything. As far as the tinfoil comment... it was rather your first two posts... first, warning users that the site uses cookies as 99.99999% of sites out there do, and your second post was a response that you do not want to state what town you live in when a knowledgeable member was willing to help, after asking for information which was readily available and pinned to the top of the section where you posted your post.

I think you're over thinking this. LOL Buyer buys it from seller if he likes it and prior to NICS. Seller leaves with money. If NICS is denied, gun stays with dealer and he sells it as a consignment.

The first thing I’m gonna do firearm wise when I leave NJ is to unpin stocks and replace brakes with flash suppressors....just because I can. Second thing is to SBR one of my lowers. Third, is a can....

My wife doesn’t care what I get. She asked why do I need so many? I told her they’re all so different.. they’re like shoes they all serve the same function but in a different way. She immediately understood that.

Barrel was replaced. I've shot originals with low serials. The whole heat treatment thing is overblown IMO. That one should be good to go. Just do not use modern commercial ammo.

Given the way christmas eve is going around here, fuck it; once i'm dead let them get shafted on value, if they stupidly choose to sell it all off. I'm beyond caring now, and certainly won't give a shit once i'm busy feeding the crabgrass from underneath.

Need to inform/educate the masses about jury nullification. Juries need to step in and hand down not guilty verdicts for all of NJ's anti-2A laws. Might be able to accomplish this in the southern part of the state. Northern liberal strongholds may be tougher.

Out of the ”conservative” justices on the court, Clarence Thomas is the man, Alito has been great, and Gorsuch seems good, albeit mostly untested. Unfortunately, Roberts scares me and I have a bad feeling that Kavanaugh won’t be the conservative hero that everyone thinks he will be. I do hope for the best, though.

Trust me Sniper22, I won't be extending you any invitations to join me at the range, so no need to worry about being around me when I am handling firearms. But since you asked, vice -> sawzall -> grinder -> dead mags took all of 5 minutes. And yes, since I have never blocked a mag before, it would have taken considerably longer to collect the materials, tools and research to perform the task properly, and hence not worth my time. But for a man such as yourself who is an instant expert on all subjects without training or research, I can understand that the calculus may be different. Although that said, instead of wasting your time blocking mags, surely it would be more lucrative for you to be acting the leading role in the latest blockbuster hollywood movie or unifying the fundamental laws of physics instead?

Added my replies within the body... Contacting people does not work when they are not engaged... The way to do it would be at the gun stores when they are engaged and buying something that might become illegal in a few months and cost them money. I certainly do my part.... Politics is a major show in my place... just read my reviews LOL People enjoy it... We engage them.. They engage us.. Lots drive well past other stores for that exact reason... I hope that within the banter and political discussion in the shop they actually take something home with them besides the gun.
