Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted July 12, 2016 Has anyone heard of this new fad? Just heard about it on the news this morning. It's a game that uses a phone app, where people walk around looking for virtual (I presume) Pokemon in their environment. There have been many reports of people bumping into things and each other, while they have their heads buried in their phones playing the game. I think it may have been invented by pickpockets and muggers, because situational awareness pretty much plunges to zero, or condition white if you prefer. Here's a complete explanation: http://www.vox.com/2016/7/11/12129162/pokemon-go-android-ios-game
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 12, 2016 That's one of the reasons why I refuse to download it. It's a matter of time when someone gets run over because of it ...

Lambo2936 297 Posted July 12, 2016 LOL.I don't play, but my fiance does. It's a total throwback for those of us who grew up playing Pokemon. That said, i'm lazy and overweight and don't intend on walking miles and miles to get 10 pokeballs and hopefully catch one or two new pokemon. I didn't even download it because i'd get crazy with it; i just play on my Fiance's phone while she is driving to help her with her game, haha.

The Washington Post reports that the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C is a “PokeStop” on the game where players can get free items within “Pokemon Go’s” digital world.
