I don't care how much they improved it - it just isn't in the same class..........................

I would not put a Remington 870 Wingmaster in the same sentence as an original Python.........

No - it's not illegal, a Federally lic dealer has the discretion for any reason to deny someone a gun. As for you feeling that it's not "cool" to deny someone their 2A rights; I would not deny any upstanding citizen (male, female, straight, gay, ect.) of their 2A rights, but if a person is not able to tell if they are male or female, then in my opinion they are not mentally capable of having a firearm. That may be my opinion, but it is mine, and I am entitled to use my discretion............

That’s a good idea. Why hasn’t anyone posted something like this before? Might have to try it. I bet it’s awesome. The instant pot is great. Might have to try this.

Ribs should NOT fall of the bone. They should be tender and easy to take a bite without all the meat coming off the bone all at once. Also they only should be cooked on a smoker

oh someone mentioned super gp100.....ALL OVER THAT and didn't have anymore permits when GSSC had one at 1k. I'd definitely buy one of those and will in the future. Not a Ruger guy that handgun felt awesome in my hand I will beat you to it;) but I'm still buying a 71 nickel when I see the right one

All things considered.....First new Python I see below 1,200.00 WILL be mine! I don't want to collect a Python, I want to shoot one!

I went Sleep Number as well - it's great! I have the base model C2 or whatever, threw a foam topper on top - My wife likes the mattress firmer than I do and we both have our own settings. Best investment in a bed ever. If you want a REALLY firm mattress, go to an Asian furniture store. We got some super firm mattresses with a pillow top - they're firm and comfy and were pretty cheap.

Correct...much like you do not buy a collector car or an exotic to be a daily driver. I have many pristine condition WW2 rifles, and a couple of snakes... but I shot them one or twice, and they only come out on special occasions... they are certainly not daily shooters. I merely enjoy looking at them and the history behind them. So yeah, I suppose I just became a gun collector. It is certainly not a secret that the original Pythons were quite weak... and it was not much of an issue when there were gunsmiths that can work on them... that is not the case anymore. Today, the Pythons really are collectibles. If I wanted a shooter, I would not be considering a Python.... maybe buy a used NEW Python... but the gun does not seem to be anything special besides another decent production revolver at twice the price of its competition. Again, no one is denying that this is a better gun... but saying that a C7 Corvette is going to make the older 60's models drop in value is kind of moronic. I mean... look at this.... You are NEVER getting this again.

Depends on the model and what characteristics matters to you. The finish and the single action trigger pull on the Python are unequalled. Personally, I think the aesthetics are as well. And, of course, the cylinder rotates in the correct direction. Smiths generally have a better double action pull and a shorter hammer throw/faster lock time. I also prefer pushing the cylinder latch on a Smith to pulling it on a Colt.

Could be ammo, other day at range used some PMC bronze 115 grain in my Beretta 92 and PX4 and both would jam and not load every 3rd or 4th round, worse with the PX4 than 92, Switched to American eagle 115 grain not one issue with either.

I think they have increased in value due to several reasons, one being how well made they were, and also that they were discontinued. That being said - I do not foresee the resale price of a New SS Python ever coming close to the resale price of a NOS / un-fired original SS Python. Again, jmo

Agreed, never said ALL Pythons are worth north of 2k, but you said "if Colt keeps these in production, the older one will be worth nothing" that just isn't true.......

    Oh I sorry...its not a smith...colt snakes....so overrated...

it will most certainly impact the old python market. new unused or pristine condition will be the sought after ones but 90% of the pythons you see are not show pieces and those will suffer as now instead of paying 2k for a used shooter, you can buy a better, newer one for 1500. absolutely will impact the market and thats even before the demographic shift
  25. 1 point
No not really, waiting on some other parts that are on back order, if time allows I might start making them too and cancel order.

Sell it and buy a Beretta. You're welcome.

I will +1 what pewpew plates. Said. Limp wristing can lead to poor ejection. I will add to it that you can have a death grip and still have noodle arms. So apply a little muscle up to the shoulders.

What kind of ammo are you using? A friend at my club had similar issues with his brand new pistol but he was running handloads through it, so that was the culprit. Some manufacturers recommend running a few boxes of 147gr ammo through the gun first to break things in, but I'm not sure about Sig...

1st.. holy shit.. proofread what you type and take the time to type something coherent, I'm having to guess what you actually intended out of your clearly gun related but still approaching word salad in the back half post there. I'm glad to help, but there's only so much to be done without a clear description of the problem. So my best guess on translating your post into questions. 1a) You are having issues with failure to eject where some spent cases are not ejecting and remaining hooked on the extractor causing a jam when it tries to feed the next round. or possibly 1b)You are loading up. pulling the trigger, get a bang and the gun seems to cycle, but next time you get a click, clear the round and find a fired shell with no bang to go with it. SO you are getting failure to eject, failure to feed, and reinsertion of the spent round. 2) you are having issues with the slide not staying open on an empty magazine. Both versions of #1 can be caused by a bad ejector. On 320 based guns, make sure the ejector has not been bent up or otherwise damaged. It's this doohickey circled in red in the picture. If yours doesn't look like that in some way, you probably have a problem that is going to need to involve Sig CS. Both versions of #1 and #2 can be caused by the gun short stroking. Possible causes of that: a) making contact with the slide with your thumb or any other part of your hand while shooting and thus creating drag on the slide. b) Failure to properly lube the gun. You said you cleaned it, you didn't say if you lubed it, but especially with the tighter lockup of the x-fives, lube matters. c) Light loads and strong springs. If you are shooting cheap ass 115gr bulk plinking ammo, you should probably switch to the lighter of the two springs included with the gun. d) A variation on a above. Your making contact with the slide release while operating the gun. The slide release mechanism would then in turn be creating drag on the slide causing short stroking if/when you push it up, and if you are pushing down, it will prevent it holding the slide open after the last round. e) You have somehow created mechanical interference in the travel of the slide that is not permitting full travel. Like installing both recoil springs at once. I don't think this is possible and still having the gun work at all, but hey there are some impressive members of team push it harder out there. But in general check for anything mechanical that may be interfering with the full travel of the slide. f) The frames are injection molded plastic. Check that there isn't some huge chunk of flashing or piece of sprue left in place by QC people in the dust cover area dragging on the slide in use (or anywhere else, but in general with polymer guns, that's the most likely spot for something like that). g) If you are teacupping the gun and pushing up on the mag... fucking stop that. It's horrible form and can cause jams by pushing the magazine in and causing too much drag on the slide from the top round, causingslide lock prior to the last round being fired, etc. Depending on the gun in question. It's also possible to damage the ejector on the 320 by shoving the mag up into the gun too hard under certain circumstances. (i.e. slamming the mag in hard on a 21 round mag with aftermarket baseplates that don't prevent over insertion, but hey anything is possible if you are on team push it harder). If you don't know what teacupping is, here's a helpful graphic:

Colt sucks. They abandoned the civilian market and bent the knee for government contracts. Now that they are no longer on the government tit and their civilian sales tanked they release old guns to gin up revenue. Fuck them

1st 2nd and 3rd gen smith autos are excellent hyper reliable pistols i have found. They are a collecting niche all their own...as r the Smith wheel guns... @High Exposure there is the pistol you are looking for, for sale on the smith forum as i recall. My 39 single stack.9mm is an absolute tack driving laser beam of a pistol.
