If you’re in Texas, you should relax and enjoy the culture. Slow down a bit. Sit a spell. Y’all come back now, ya hear?

gleninjersey 2,141 Posted August 23, 2022 Sub mostly but hoagie is acceptable. I've never heard anyone call it "grinder". Like never. I think that's more of a Northern Midwest thing no?? Like calling soda "pop".

oneshot 45 Posted August 23, 2022 Grinder is some dipshit nutmegger from CT definition of a SUB AND OR HERO. WTF is a hoagie? NY born NNJ raised. Dons sandwich shop in Boonton, we used to ride our bikes there and get a SUB. Place is still there after at least 50 years. Still serving subs to those in the know 13 minutes ago, YankeeSC said: Phat Lady was my go-to. I bet you had a moped

High Exposure 5,664 Posted August 27, 2022 It’s a Sub. On 8/22/2022 at 1:58 PM, Scorpio64 said: Elsie's in Red Bank and Joyce's in Lincroft made the best subs ever. The last time I was at Elsie's, they still had the same rickety wood screen door that slams shut behind you. That was at least 15 years ago. Anyone who went to St. James/RBC definitely knows Elsie's. Yes!!! Joyce’s is awesome. Their Italian Sub with LTO SPO O&V HP is killer. The turkey and provolone Sub with LTO SP cranberry sauce isn’t too shabby either. There was a Sub shop in the main building of the Collingswood Auction that was amazing as well - not sure if it is still there or still good. God, I haven’t been there in years…
