302w 83 Posted November 19, 2014 Either a 1970 Torino GT or a 1969/70 Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird. I have a POS 65 Mustang in my garage, and I feel they're too common even though I love mine.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted November 19, 2014 ok so a little something different today What's your favorite older classic car? Can only pick one so what is it? mine is the 69 corvette stingray I had access to a 67 convertible for quite some time. Every now and then I'd call my buddy and tell him I was coming for the car. I actually drove it more than he did, and was doing him a favor. Old cars need to be driven every now and then. I'd leave my car at his house and drive the vette home and then bring it back the next day. Nothing like tearing down the parkway with Darkness in the CD player (he put a CD player in the glove box). My kids were still in car/booster seats, but it had seat belts, so I'd buckle them in for a ride. The look of fear turned into excitment as I'd blast through the gears pinning them in their seats was priceless. "Daaaaaaadddddddd....stoooooooppppppp." "Do it again!" T Bill 649 Posted November 19, 2014 Had a 68 Mustang Fastback, wish I had kept it. The only other car I loved driving as much as that was the Triumph TR-6, but that was down for repairs more than it ran.

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted November 21, 2014 But what I really want is a Shelby GT350H The one in the pic is a clone, isn't it? 350H's were 66 models - that one has a 65 grille.
Malsua 1,422 Posted November 21, 2014 1967 mustang gt390 fastback. that said, my first car was a 1967 mustang coupe 289 auto. How funny...I was going to say 67-68 fastback My first old car was 68 Mustang coupe with a 289 auto. The frame was rotten and I welded one under it..then the steering box started to unscrew out the top...3 turns in either direction before the wheels moved. The engine came out and went into a 1980 Fairmont coupe. It was a fox body and needed a new oil pan and tranny mount to retro fit. Once that was done and umpteen racing mods later I got it to 11.70s in the 1/4.
AS350Driver 56 Posted November 21, 2014 The one in the pic is a clone, isn't it? 350H's were 66 models - that one has a 65 grille. Bob, the 66's with fog lights, like the one pictured, had a grill that looks just like the standard grill on the 65's. Could still be a clone though. Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted November 21, 2014 Bob, the 66's with fog lights, like the one pictured, had a grill that looks just like the standard grill on the 65's. Could still be a clone though. The 66 GT350H did not have a model variation that included the fog lights in the grille. Nor did the plain 65 or 66 GT350's. However, both the 65 & 66 regular production Mustang GT's used that light arrangement. The 65 & 66 Shelby Mustangs used a horizontal bar grill with the galloping horse emblem on the extreme L/S.
