As soon as DC starts issuing permits, I'm driving down. I had made plans to apply in person the last time the courts overturned the DC ban - right before other courts overturned the overturn. The ruling was overturned the day before I was heading down. I even have an email from metro PD answering my question about how to legally transport my handgun to the police station. You have to register your carry gun to get the permit and you have to bring the gun to the police station to do that. I have my application printed out. I'll post a picture of me strapped in front of the Washington Monument.

My bad. Was thinking it was the 9th circuit. Then "Blank" would better fit their makeup.

@High Exposure Thanks for the reccomendation of the Magpul sling and ASAP QD rear plate. Great quality gear and didn't cost a fortune!! i bought the MS4 version with 2 QD swivels. Nice sling, and very compareable to my Tactical Link sling (and 1/2 the price)!

We need some more time for Trump to appoint additional judges. It took 8 years to get the courts in their present state.Hopefully we will get 16!

Monroe Township (Williamstown) report: Paperwork submitted for 2 pistol permits on 7/6/17. Permits were ready on 7/26/17. I even asked over the phone for a 3rd permit and they completed it with no issue. Props to Monroe Twp. PD- they were very quick and courteous with everything.

There are 1000s of handguns acquired legally in other states in NJ. If you acquired it legally you own it legally as has been said. If you transport and use it in accordance with NJ laws when you're in NJ there are no issues. No need to prove where or from whom you acquired it. Illegal possession of a handgun in NJ is when you're carrying outside of the scope of transportation laws without a permit, using it in a crime, or a prohibited person. If you don't do any of that it's legal. There is no paper trail for air guns or black powder guns acquired outside of NJ. The burden of proof is on the prosecution not the defendant anywhere in the US.

I don't consider the widely available AR components a 'problem'. Just requires some research on your part to determine what will work best for your particular needs. My advice is to either build or buy a basic AR. Buy mags and ammo. Shoot the crap out of it. Maybe get some training. Then, ask your buddies to try their gear, go to shops and fondle guns and gear before you spend any money on upgrades.

Figure I would do a current entry.... I have been dealing with a No Start, No Crank Issue at times with the car. Seems to happen after longer drives, obviously with everything getting heat soaked under hood.... I would go to leave a Cruise Night and I would get NOTHING...... when it happened last year 2-3 times, there was not even a click from the starter. I already had a Powermaster Mini Starter, but I bit the bullet and bought a new one, and sent the old one back to Powermaster to have it rebuilt. Fast forward to this year...... thinking I had the problem solved. I went to a cruise night in Flemington 2 weeks ago.... 90+ min drive. Got there, started to rain..... went to leave after about an hour and No Start, No Crank....... crap. After a few minutes like always, it cranked fine and I headed home. Pulled into the garage, turned it off and tried to restart..... Click...... crap. Frustrated, I headed into the house and would deal with it in the morning. Well, as usual, it started fine in the morning, but I check battery voltage.... 13.2v sitting, and only dropped to 10.5v while cranking, not bad for a 15+-year-old Optima Battery. So I felt battery was not the issue. I highly doubt the new starter was an issue. It was time to look in other directions..... wiring and grounds... Well, I removed the positive cable that runs from Battery to Starter..... this was a nice fancy Steel Braided 4ga battery cable. Well, it looked like hell now, with plenty of green corrosion coming through the steel braiding, plus I found upon searching..... 4ga wire might be good for today cars, but will not carry enough amps for older muscle cars with larger engines. So instead of trying to find larger gauge battery cables the correct length..... Time to learn another skill. So I went ahead and made up my own battery cable. and then made up an additional ground cable. The new cable is very high grade and is 2ga. Just got done installing it...... Now, lets hope for the best....

Hey All, The SAPPA Group posted a Press Release and is in the process of distributing it to the major newspapers. We are putting a link to it here so a few can read it and hopefully pass it on to your local newspapers or favorite website news. Thanks, Dwight and Nick These two filings we just did cost a pretty penny. Nick asked me to thank everyone from this forum who has helped. And boy, it has helped. He intends to send each of you a letter later on when we get a chance to catch our breath. THE SAPPA GROUP 7.27.17 Press Release.pdf

Dan wessons are hands down the best production 1911s on the market. Almost all parts are hand fitted after machining and many top 1911 custom smiths comment on their precision fitment. Dave Severns has a good shootout & evaluation on a few 1911's where the DW Valor was highly praised for build and accuracy. On a ransom rest, the Valor was slightly more accurate than the Les Baers he tested with a variety of ammo.

As best as I can tell, the BRJ model does not use a match barrel. This doesn't mean the rifle does not have the potential to be very accurate, it just means the chamber and bore specs are a little different. Match grade ammo is designed specifically for match barrels and all other 22lr ammo, (premium, standard, bulk) is made for a standard 22lr chamber. There's actually a lot more to this but I don't want to get lost in the weeds. Ammo for semi-auto is a whole other ball of wax and not relevant here except that you probably wont get good results with bullets shaped to feed better in a semi-auto. Most accuracy issues are a result of bullet deformity that occurs at the factory or in the rifle itself. You can check for deformation by cycling live ammo through your rifle. SAFETY FIRST, safety on and keep muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Cycle 5 rounds of each brand/type of ammo and inspect the bullets. Sometimes the bullets get scraped or dinged as it moves through the action. Cycling ammo will tell you if that is happening. If bullets are getting deformed as they are stripped from the magazine and travel over the action, you can get around this by single feeding. If they are getting damaged as they are chambered, then that ammo is no good for that gun. It's a bad match of bullet diameter and chamber. Some 22s will give good results to 50 yards and then around 60 to 70 yards the groups may fall apart. you could be getting 1' groups at 50 yards and 4' groups at 100. This is because of the typical 1:16 twist which is kind of slow. Even the most minor scrape or lopsidedness of a bullet will become more of a problem as the bullet slows down and yaws. First, try the cycling test to see if the bullets are being tortured. Next, try single feeding. You can also try fouling the barrel. Many barrels will shoot lousy with a squeaky clean bore. Conversely, they will also shoot lousy with a heavily fouled bore. You want just the right amount of fouling (sometimes referred to as leading) to smooth out and fill in the gaps and imperfections in the rifling. Also, check the crown. If it is even slightly dinged or scratched, it can have a very bad effect. This should be a good start on helping close those groups. Most of the info above is derived from an extremely well written paper by a retired gunsmith that goes by the handle Iowegan. Unfortunately I was not able to get permission to post his paper here. If you want to read the full paper just google the guy's handle and you will find what ye seek.

Good point. Make friends at the range and try what other people have/like. Will give you ideas or at least save you time. Once you have a better idea what you want I recommend building. At least the lower. It's easy and the best way to understand how the rifle works.

Positive. He has to fill that out too. You should be filling out the one form. The other is on city letter head and gives them rights to his records. Already checked with Dan Smutter. It is illegal. Any PD when getting the results back from mental health forms, gets a yea or nay. Not detailed reports. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting question. When the Ninth Circuit ruled against the so-called Trump travel ban, the ruling applied across the entire nation, not just in their district.

When I move out of this hell hole, I'll convert them to free state configuration. My collapsible stocks can be undone. I may change the muzzle devices, it depends. Don't really care about bayonet lugs. The real big deal to me is collapsible stocks. I fail to understand why pinning a stock makes a damn bit of difference. Moronic laws. I already have a bunch of standard capacity mags at the ranch in Texas.

Trying to make the facts fit the hypothesis is the wrong way to go about this. Let the facts paint the picture of what really happened that night, then proceed accordingly.

What's the cheapest gun that can be bought or made to turn in at a profit? If I show up with 12 zip guns, can I get $600? I don't think that we're using this to our advantage. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

um I guess you did not hear about the murder here last year by a guy on angle dust and special k. Stabbed his best friend 40 times and smashed his skull in with a 25 lb dumbell. So bad shit happens in every town regardless of how safe you think it is. And if your wondering I home carry all the time and I don't have any kids yet so I also keep guns stashed around the home. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it
