It's called a ghost writer, or more than one. When motivated, you can get a book done and sold (via traditional publishing) in about 30 days. It's not common, but it has been done. 4 months isn't prohibitive, it's only a tad shorter than the typical ghost written politically affiliated book.

Made my NJ escape and we arrived at our rental home around 4pm Sunday. Unpacked the cars and went to the local market for food. We got into the car to leave the market at 6:48pm when I felt a bang as the woman across the parking aisle slams into the rear of my car. Unlike NJ where she would have blamed me and called an ambulance claiming an injury she 100% admitted fault and was so upset. We kept telling her to relax it was just property damage and no one was hurt and she had not hit a person. My wife called police who showed up to take report in less than 10 minutes. Agreed she was at fault and wrote her $160 ticket for improper backing with three points. But she can take a two hour online course and wipe the points. Her insurance will ultimately pay for everything, but the repair place my insurance company suggests using which is huge here can’t do repairs for a month, oh well. Guess I’ll be driving an ugly car for a while. Met my new neighbor who is retired marine and real gun guy. Said I will have to come see his gun room. He was packing a G26 appendix carry in his shorts. He is also a firearms instructor part time and looking to build two ranges on land he owns. He can use some extra cash to get started so we are going to talk, maybe I’ll get into the range business. He shoots IDPA and loves both of my plates. Said he was going to take a picture, which he must have done while I was out. As I got home an old NJ friend who lives about 25 minutes away said I am the talk of the internet as everyone is talking about the new guy from NJ and his gun plates. I will like it here, except for the drivers.

While locked in the trunk is legal you probably want to use a case to protect it from banging around.

They also won't tell you that you can transport a long gun most anywhere if you have a FPID.

None that I have seen. However, I received guidance from the NJSP Firearms Unit in late May of this year. • There is currently no restriction on the power level or type of device. • They can be owned by anyone 18 or older. • They can be carried. • They can not be used for unlawful purposes. • They can be used for self defense.

The "gas system" is dependent on where the gas port is drilled into the barrel. I would assume that yours is either a rifle length gas system or a mid length (ie middie) gas system. Once you have determined that, then need to buy the appropriate length gas tube. EDIT: Based on your post, I'm guessing that what you are actually looking for is a gas block, maybe?

Oh boo-hoo....So sad for ole Zeke...he got's him a woman who knows about, likes, builds and uses firearms. I just don't know how you do it. Must be hard on you to have a spouse that enjoys shooting...that doesn't get mad when you bring a new gun home AND gets you a sweet SIG220 for your bday....wow. Hang in there man....I feel for you. Oh and the color scheme on her AR..yeah that's muscle. You know I'm right

Ah that's what he meant by the black marker. Wish I knew about this years ago. I ruined more than one blade learning how to sharpen a knife through trial and error. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Just remember to stay away from schools, military installations and other "Gun Free Zones" while transporting your UNLOADED long guns and you're pretty much covered. The NJFPID card allows transportation w/o the "Directly to & from Rule" being enforced so long as you have ONLY long guns with you. 50 long guns placed on top of a .38 snubby buried somewhere in your trunk where you can't reach it w/o minutes of unpacking and "Directly to & from Rule" APPLIES once more....even if it's empty and you have ZERO shells for the hand gun

You said that all along... credit where credit is due! The only reason I remained suspicious was those lawyers saying there was still a problem within another section of NJ legislation. And I figured that one "test case" could have been explained away by prosecutorial discretion... (e.g., just because ONE municipality decided not to pursue, didn't mean an aggressive prosecutor in another district couldn't decide to file against somebody for carrying). However... if the NJSP is now giving this guidance out, well... that's pretty damn clear! Soooo... questions: Did the bold among us purchase their tasers and start carrying months ago? Are the more cautious among us starting to shop now? What, if any, training did folks take? Equally relevant, do these thing-a-ma-bobs come in pretty colors and patterns? Anything in, say, a leopard print? Great topic, btw, OP!

I use a magnet tool holder that I got at Home Depot to store all my metal magazines on the door of my gun cabinet. Loaded or not, it holds the magazines perfectly. I have noticed no ill effects on the mags at all.

I have them on a few of my long guns. I feel they help protect the whole optic. Not just the lens as a snap on cover does.

so by ghost writer, you mean someone else? with an agenda? and just slapping this buttheads name on it? i still believe this.
  23. 1 point
Yep... but im my mind there's no doubt they had the material written already. They just folded it into the Parkland story to fit their agenda and to use this Hogg idiot's new found notariety.

It may be easier to build a secure room (either by converting a room or building a large walk-in closet sized addition) instead of finding a corner for another safe.

I'm a big fan of the neoprene scope covers and use them for this overcrowded safe condition. I get these $10-12 ones off Amazon made by occult. If these are the fancy or cheap ones I wouldn't know since they work great and my search promptly ended.

I think its a great idea! Buy a bigger safe than you think you will need. Take it from me.....I am shopping for my 3rd safe but I unfortunately don't have place to put it! This hobby is truly an addiction for which there is no cure!

You can also buy grenades in free America. Even the ones you launch from a rifle. Catch is its a $200 tax stamp per $100 grenade. Thus why most guys launch dummy grenades with white powder inside. I assume most tank shells also require individual tax stamps. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

This is such an arbitrary list. At no point does it actually base it's rankings on numbers of psychopaths. It's based on: extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. That is absolutely idiotic.

I love GFH, but its impossible to go without waiting forever and their prices are a bit high. I almost prefer shooting in the cold or rain at cherry ridge. At least the place is barren then.

you know it's legal to own a tank, right? and in most states you can own machine guns?

i'd strongly suggest everyone thinking of selling their mags or butchering them to not do so. this bill is as unconstitutional as they come and will be tossed by any court in the country, including liberal ones. i haven't said much because i actually doubted it would pass. clearly our esteemed legislature are not versed on the constitution. ex post facto laws are specifically prohibited, by name, under article 1 section 10 of our trusty document. ex post facto laws are those which make illegal an act which was legal when committed. if you bought 15 round mags legally, they cannot suddenly become illegal. period. done. end of story. (as an aside, bump stock bans will fall as well). not only is murphy a moron, but he's a greedy moron as well. had he allowed simple grandfathering (like the other states have), it would have been harder to challenge. not impossible mind you, just harder. as it stands, this jackass is going to make the taxpayers pay for something that has no chance of standing. if you have 15rd mags in nj, you'll keep 15 rd mags in nj. take it to the bank. the california ban was supposed to have been in effect as of jan 1. the judge in the most liberal court in the country had to stop it for the same reason the real question for me is where did this attorney general get his law degree? he should be disbarred for giving consent to murphy to sign the bill
