Rumchatta and fireball 1-1 is supposed to taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch...

me try soon

Tastes exactly like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It's awesome.

Take a Angry Orchard cider, pour it in a pint glass, and pour in a shot of Fireball.

Cinnamon Apple. Lovely on a hot summer day.

Lately it's been Neshaminy Creek, the shape of hops to come. Thanks to purple Patrick who turned me on to it.

As for fireball, to make a long story short, I'm no longer allowed to drink it or anything with fireball in it. My wife the DD was not thrilled with me, my brother, or my 2 cousins actions. Lol I just reminded her and it's still a sore subject 2 years later

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but spent most of last week (and part of next week) at Princeton installing some new equipment. Had lunch and a pint at the Triumph Brewery on Nassau Street.

Excellent food, and a really nice IPA. The Amber Ale is outstanding too.

Tonight was a tasting of a couple of local NJ wines from Valenzano. Chardonnay, and a Raspberry Riesling.

The Resiling was a little sweet for me, but Mrs. DT was all over it.

Whenever I feel off or have a hangover I take Gatorade and aspirin. It fixes everything.

Lol. For me it's gentlemen Jack. And it's been 10+ years. Lol. "Allegedly" I wanted to fight every guy and phuck every girl.  Regardless of the dude standing next to said females.  Lol. It's a very sensitive subject with my wife.  Lol.

With that said she buys me Blanton's but she knows I sip that. She knows I ain't wasting that. She's a keeper.

Am I the only one that doesn't like fruit in my beer?

Nope. Same here. Spent time in Laredo Texas/Mexico. Put anything in your beer and they will kick you out of the bar.  I follow that philosophy here.  Lol.

No fruit in beer, and no ice (or anything else, for that matter) in good bourbon.

Anything else is simply uncivilized.

Gotta admit I do put a large ice cube in my whiskey/bourbon. I can't drink ANYTHING warm except coffee.

Work was cancelled tonight due to snow, so I've been having a few drinks. While shoveling I had some hot apple cider with some "Apple Pie Moonshine mixed in, but the other drink I'm having is one that no one else seems to drink, so figured I'd spread the word.

It was my poppop's favorite drink, Gin and Bitter Lemon. It's about 1 oz of Gin with  a few ounces of Bitter Lemon (Soda water with Lemon juice and Quinine. Mix in a teaspoon of sugar if you like. It's great, and it seems to have kept the Malaria away from my Poppop.

    • We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in
    • I use an Alien Gear cloak tuck (IWB) with my Shield.  Neoprene back - in the summer it does feel warm but doesn't rub or chafe.   https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-iwb-holster.html Could also go with the shapeshift as it has multiple options - OWB/IWB, Appendix... https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-shapeshift-modular-holster-system.html
    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
    • Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
