WVisHome 0 Posted May 2, 2013 Too bad this will never see the light of day. Looks like it was indeed 90% in favor......of NOT expanding background checks.
wooly bugger 1 Posted May 2, 2013 Wow, we really are organized. Last night, Cryan was explaining why they have such trouble getting "sensible gun safety measures" passed. He said that we're very well organized and very well funded. He's right on 1 but not 2. Florio called the NRA a "multibillion dollar organization." If only. One interesting thing: Cryan said he got about 2000 emails opposing his legislation and 0 in favor. That's what I call a passion gap.

BrianN 0 Posted May 2, 2013 I think mental health records should be integrated into the NICS system and that NICS should be standardized so states like NJ can't implement such an ass backwards system.
PeteF 1,044 Posted May 2, 2013 They left out the "Federal Laws need to be abolished" checkbox.
ruger9 0 Posted May 2, 2013 I'm actually STUNNED at the tally, being that this is PBS: the government's ORIGINAL media arm.

Yes, we all sent them, but the moron isn't going to care, he is above all of us, just like Barry. Do as I say, not as I do.
Pythagoras 2 Posted May 3, 2013 They left out the "Federal Laws need to be abolished" checkbox. Not all of them. We should keep the 2nd amendment. The rest can be deep sixed. Yeah, the 2A is probably the only gun law I like... Wait! There's another one that specifically says guns can't be confiscated EVEN during states of emergency, as a result of the NOPD's Katrina response. It shouldn't be necessary in light of the 2A - but I'm glad it's there to remind them that even if they strip other rights during emergency situations, they Second Amendment cannot be touched. SgtToadette 59 Posted May 4, 2013 Done. We should keep in mind that online polls are not scientific and shouldn't see the light of day for that reason alone.
