Do you understand the concept of incrementalism? The boiling frog, chipping away, death by a thousand cuts? You want to hear their talk about confiscation? https://observer.com/2013/05/senators-caught-on-tape-confiscate-confiscate-confiscate/ Wake up Greeny, they have an agenda and thats to dis-arm us.

When the state makes a law for everything that is not done exactly as the state wants, everyone becomes a criminal and can get pinched any time. That is called tyranny. We are no longer a free people.

After the Cohen hearings taking place today, it's obvious they will resort to anything to injure or destroy the President, his family or our present way of life under the US Constitution....understand, there is no line they won't cross even if it means collapsing the present Gov't or murdering babies after birth.....this is who they are and who y'all are dealing with....omo..........disarm then hello Socialism.

You poor brainwashed simpleton. That is EXCACTLY what the 2A is for, to give The People a chance to rise against tyrany. Why do you think they keep trying to disarm us? At least we know what side of the fence your falling off of.

The aluminum plate (2nd item I linked) does just that. I put it in the yellow tray and pour the contents of the black tray into it. The 380's drop through, the 9's stay on the plate. The description does not mention it, but 38's and 357's are caught in the blue tray by their rims

Where the heck did the individual range groups go? They were integrated into the new "Clubs" feature! By user request, over the years we created small forum sections for individual gun clubs and 2A groups. While it served the purpose, it was an administrative nightmare granting permissions while at the same time lacking organization and features. Part of the software upgrades for the community was the ability to launch clubs, or groups around the community. For our gun community I see it going three ways, 1. Social Groups (like NJ Zed), 2. 2A Rights Groups (NJ2AS, SAW, CNJFO), and 3. Gun Ranges/Clubs. Already, converted the older groups to the new clubs and anyone who had access to the gun range section previously, currently has it for the club. If you do not have access and want it, click the request to join. Here is a video I put together showing you where to find it and how to use it. If you would like a club added, either for a range or a new social group, let me know. Better yet, if you hold a position in the gun club and want to help run it, even better! I hope you enjoy it and it makes your NJ gun experience just a little bit better! Lastly, don't forget to check out the Store & Range Directory! and subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the latest videos.

A true / orchestrated Character Assassination of the President and his family members for the public to witness by the elected dregs of our society and a now disbarred attorney who lived up to the reputation of just what a Lawyer is, lower than whale shit and that's at the bottom of the ocean....and they want our firearms......how will his family ever relieve themselves of the stench of Michael Cohen or NJ and their Govenor.....omo.

"- Mandatory state-issued license for inheritance of firearms" This is a new one. The word "inheritance" did not even appear in the 2013 list of proposed laws nor do I recall it ever being made an issue of. They really are looking under every rock for undiscovered "loopholes". There will never be an end to their supposed "loopholes". Oh wait, it will end, once they achieve their goal of eliminating civilian ownership of firearms. Then the real tyranny begins....One only needs to look at history.

Sorry for your loss. The model 39 is a first generation S&W semi-auto - single stack 9mm. The Illinois State Police were one of the first agencies to go semi and this was the gun they chose. That may have influenced your mother's husband. They have a following but I don't follow them so can't give you an idea of value. Likewise the other S&W semi-auto (a second generation, I believe). But, the Model 38 is a gem. Airweight (aluminum frame), shrouded hammer and a Pinto to boot. I was going to suggest that you get it "lettered" ($75), but after reading in the S&W "bible" I feel fairly certain (95%) that what you describe is the way it came from the factory. Details are sketchy (more research would be called for), but the one mention in the reference work is this... Specials & Variations - Two-Tone variation. Blue frame with stainless cylinder built for Michigan Police Supply. (emphasis mine). Given what you state in your OP about him being MSP it would make sense that this is what you have. Hang on to it along with any provenance you can document - maybe any documentation of his service with the MSP. Congrats! Adios, Pizza Bob

This video is ponderous but its very thorough and you get a good idea of the mechanism. The downsides of the safety delete start around 8:30 or so. People have said the sear pin actually doesn't come out if you leave the safety lever off but idk. I can imagine several ways to modify the safety lever so as to not be usable yet also keep the sear pin in place. Then buy a new safety lever if you ever need to sell the gun.

You're good to go! I hope to see you at SJSC and Cumberland this season. I'm usually the guy taking entries at these matches.

Yes, you should reference each club's website, as shown on the master schedule, for Match Bulletins. The Cumberland Riflemen match info is currently between administrators, and last time I checked the http://www.CumberlandMatches.com site, the individual match bulletins were not yet posted. I expect they will be soon. I can answer specific questions pertaining to the Cumberland matches, as I am on the committee that runs the NRA hi power matches there. The SJSC site does not include the match bulletins, so I attached them in a post earlier in this thread. I am also one of the people responsible for running those matches. Most of the matches on the master schedule are NRA matches. The CMP matches are in the minority.

Here is a link to the NRA website page that included the rulebooks that you can download: https://competitions.nra.org/competition-resources/rule-books/ Same goes for the CMP matches: http://thecmp.org/competitions/ Attached is the Match Bulletin for the Across the Course (XTC) matches (200yd) at SJSC SJSC will also be holding a Military Rifle (non-sanctioned) match on April 14 at 10AM That bulletin is also attached. It's a fun, no-pressure match for any military-type rifle with iron sights shot on a human silhouette target at 100, 200 and 300 yds in standing (100), kneeling (200), sitting (200) and prone (300) For the other ranges' matches, the link to their sites are shown on the multi-page pdf attached to the first post in this thread. Please... tell me the physics that says the forces of X amount of expanding gas contained in volume Y is significantly less than the forces of expanding gas contained in a volume of 3Y. Please explain, sine you apparently know something special. An actually full on squib with no charge that lodges a bulled near the chamber end of things usually results in a KB in rifles and pistols. When a squib or undercharged round lodges it near the muzzle different stuff happens. But seriously. Either stop saying what is essentially nuh-uh over and over, and try to explain your reasoning. PIstol caliber round. Fast burning pistol powder. Powder is chosen to mostly be burnt up by the end of a 6" test fixture. placed in a longer rifle barrel, the powder is completely burnt before the bullet reaches the end once thta point is reached, pressure is DROPPING. The only thing changing that in a situation with a blocked barrel is the compression of the volume of air in the bore. Which is basically rounding error for most of the trip.

@Ray Ray brother, you know I love ya but I'm afraid your taste is all in your mouth. This is what Shockwave perfection looks like. True, it's not as utilitarian as one decked out with lasers and lights and marine coating. But. aesthetically, this is what perfection looks like.

To expand on this and respond to Mike J.’s post, when you fill out the application for the FFL 03, it clearly states that the license does not supersede state/other law. It also states it is not a license to carry, use, or possess a firearm (similarly stated for other FFLs, as well). A M1 Carbine is technically a C&R weapon. However, it is an “assault weapon” under NJ law. Getting one via a FFL 03 may be possible, but once you bring it into NJ, you are in violation of NJ law (second degree crime). Not a smart move, nor would be one I’d suggest... as it is clearly against the law (no gray area at all). Even getting a trapper model Winchester/Marlin, with a sub 16” barrel is “allowed” with a FFL 03... still can be jammed up by NJ law (a “sawed off shotgun...” which that definition still pisses me off). Getting an FFL to do shady crap is just a bad idea... pretty close to as bad of an idea of just doing shady crap. Magazine capacity (as specified under the law) is still 10 rounds whether you have a FFL 03 or not. Having that license doesn’t give you any benefit in regards to specific types of firearms over any other civilian within NJ. All it does is if you purchase a firearm from another FFL 03, you do not need to go through a FFL 01/NICS. It would be similar to a current private transfer... but would be recorded in both bound books. Is this something that is going to be super awesome for me when it comes back? No... at least while I am in NJ (well, discounts from some websites are good). Once I’m outside of NJ, and change the address (three year license), I’ll be able to have more latitude of what I can acquire. Handguns, rifles (M1 Carbine, specifically), and things considered “assault weapons” can then go straight to my home. Stuff in NJ, I’m sort of good on rifles... but I will say that there is always the chance I find something new that I’d like to pick up. I’d probably have a better chance at getting a pistol off the license than anything else (a CZ-52 is on my short list... also a Makarov; I also wouldn’t mind finding a few Browning designs prior to the 1911, as well as S&W revolvers). If you aren’t into older firearms, then getting the FFL 03 likely isn’t an awesome return on investment. But some of the early Colt ARs are starting to get C&R status... so definitely something to look forward to (again, outside of NJ).
