I have a 2016 ZO6 and my advice is go for it. You only live once. Yeah, it is crazy-fast as hell. If you can afford it do it.

I was unaware " restraint " was even in your vernacular. Lol Get it! I call shotgun! Well, you can't take it with you. And who knows when your day is.

I'm being a bit of a smartass. I have guns I don't shoot because of value or they're collectable. He really seems to want the car so I'm being an enabler. I'm the wrong guy to ask about paying for and maintaining cars. I have pretty decent little collection of exotics. So if someone asking me to be their restraint in definitely not it.

Excellent point.. we have seem more women then before.. Also it depends on the area you are located in, I'm bless that a good percentage of my customers are loyal and have disposable income. I never took advantage of them even when AR prices doubled and Handguns were hard to find....I reap the benefits now.

This is why I've been buying heavily the last couple months. Prices have been good.

As a Ford fan I find this title misleading, I came here to see some carnage. I've thought about selling guns to fund building my jeep. I haven't sold any guns and the jeep gets built slower. I only sell guns to buy other guns. Got to have priorities.

I know the topic of pros/cons of submitting a NJ permit to possess application knowing that rejection will certainly follow has been discussed ad nauseum, but I raise it again out of a sense of ever increasing frustration to see if there are any fresh ideas as to potential reasons to submit. As far as I can tell nothing has ever come of a concerted effort to file applications and I am quite familiar with the arguments against -- particularly the alleged potential problems created by having to report the denial on future FID or out of state CCW or other firearms applications. Our local Police chief -- who is not rabidly anti-gun as far as I can tell and runs a department that is relatively friendly and helpful when it comes to processing FID cards and pistol purchase permits -- has apparently said (I get this second hand) that he has talked to all the local Bergen county judges and all have clearly said they will never approve an application other than retired police and he doesn't want to waste his time, and also opined that a denial will create problems for future applications. Here are my thoughts as to reasons why to submit: 1. It is the right thing to do. It certainly will be futile, at least in the near term, but I feel that remaining silent and acquiescing is just wrong. If a town passed an ordinance that no new churches or synagogues could be built, and threatened anyone who filed for a building permit for a church with the inability to ever obtain a permit for their personal residence, would people just meekly go along? It is astounding that everyone swallows the absurd threat that a CCW denial based solely on the state's arbitrary and capricious justifiable need standard rather than any personal fault could ever be used for a future denial of another permit. I was just at a private Utah CCW class attended by successful, prominent people -- doctors, lawyers, business professionals -- and it struck me how absurd it is that we are all going through this ass backwards process of applying for a permit from Utah in the hope that national carry reciprocity will somehow help us here (and I seriously doubt that it will). Why don't we also speak up? Our rights are being trampled, we are cowed by literal threats from our local officials, and we all bend over and take. 2. It will make a statement, which just might have an impact. Will Loretta Weinberg or any of the other anti-gun politicians change their anti-gun views? No. But if enough people apply, if enough people make some noise, and if word gets out it may, over time, add one small point of leverage that could make a difference. I have no hope of an organized state wide effort developing, but I am very strongly considering applyinh on my own. I really am not concerned about any impact on future applications. Any thoughts, new or rehashed, would be welcome.

Gotta look up the law, IIRC they are not legal to carry, but ownership is o.k. They are a game changer >=D.

I take that back. I decided to give them a call and they said nothing is needed except for the sight, assuming the claim was submitted electronically. $15 flat reimbursement for shipping. May 23rd is the deadline for submitting a claim AND shipping the sight. The instructions weren't clear on the latter. I was hoping I could keep it on my rifle until the settlement was complete.

I own the XD Mod.2 5" tactical. Here is the thread I started with mine: Looking at XD Mod.2 Tactical (5") 9mm I shot mine last night actually. I REALLY like this pistol, it fits my hand very well, I have small hands and even thought this doesn't have interchangeable back straps, the grip fits me really well. Build quality is pretty good from what I can tell, gun is solid. The trigger is OK, nothing great, long take up, but kinda crisp break. This can be fixed with a Powder River Precision drop in trigger. Accuracy: This gun is great for me. I shot better with this than my M&P, maybe it's the longer sight radius or the grip, but i have better groups, your mileage may vary. Let me know if you have any questions -Craig

I have one of these. It is a very nice 9mm but I am upset with Springfield due to the position they recently took regarding a bill and will not be buying any of their guns in the future In fact, I recently decided to replace it with a Walther, which fits my hand better and put it on consignment in Fl. You need to try several 9mm before you pick that which is best for your hand and the type of shooting you want to do. There are several good 9mm on the market. Also check to for sale on the forum as you may find something you like.

Is there any other gun manufacturer that you guys didn't mention? FWIW, I'm too was looking for a _new_ range toy in 5". here is my list: 1. S&W M&P9 v2.0 5" 2. Glock 34 3. Walter PPQ Q5 4. SA XD mod 2 5" 5. CZ 75 Shadow ?? 6. SIG P320 From trying these in the store (not shooting) I find S&W v2.0 most favorable along with CZ - i understand they are different guns :). I had high expectation for XD but S&W sits better in _my_ hand. Just my 2 cents

What i have noticed along with a few dealers i speak to daily is. Rifles slowed down after election day but sales are still pretty descent , Pistols picked up which covered the rifle slowdown. We expect a slowdown this summer as permits will be running out. It comes down to this... people applied for permits before the election. they have them now and want to use them... We have noticed a more transfers coming in as well due to companies trying to dump inventory because they overstocked due to mis-judging the election results. My plan for the summer slowdown is to continue to offer firearms while offering day care.

A bit irrelevant but my Father had multiple Vettes back in the day. Now that he's older he upgraded to an A8 and now an R8 after the lease ran up on the A8... That R8 is wicked, man...

Instead of a "Slowdown" I'd call it "saturation". The Poor can't afford them. Middle class bought a ton the last 8 years under the previous POTUS. Now we have to wait for brand new gun owners buying their first guns since everyone I rub elbows with already has what they need (with obvious exceptions). Yes, there are collectors still buying and speculating. But there comes a point when you simply run out of a customer base that's qualified to buy. And then you have the effects of the ACA kicking-in too. Folks need a good paying job and healthcare benefits paid for before they buy their 15th hand gun . There's only "so much" water in the well........ Women continue to explore and purchase. They're the fastest growing segment of the market.

Well, to state the obvious.... Guns are an asset, that usually goes up in value over time. Cars... well you know the deal. Although who would ever imagine third generation mullet machines going up in price (Turd gens F-bodies are now collectible, wow). I think a C7 is still a long far away from being a collectible and has plenty more to drop. How often are you actually going to drive it? Will it be a daily driver or a track day car? If track day, how often are you actually going to use it? My brother bought a new c6 Z06 but seldom actually drove it, especially in jersey weather. the alternative is... borrow one or rent one every few months to your hearts content. In the mean time, get the GM credit card and start earning those points towards a GM. Start shopping and wait for someone who Needs to sell theirs and snap it up. We are bound to have a recession in the near future and those are the first toys to go. Another alternative, join a car club (where you buy a membership and can use the clubs cars x amount of days). TLDR, Cars are depreciating asset, I would keep guns, rent or borrow a C7 a few times a year for track days and still come out ahead.

Keep the guns, get the car. One year from now you will ask yourself how you ever considered selling some to get the car. More than once I "robbed Peter to pay Paul" and regretted it later, cause I came to realize Peter and Paul can co exist. Go for it.

Saw this one on Reddit. A priest and a Rabbi are very good friends, so they decide to go to a remote lake for a swim. Of course they're swimming naked as you do. All of a sudden, two busses pull up. Out of one pours the rabbis congregation and out of the other pours the priests congregation. Their clothes are on the other side of the lake so they don't have time to retrieve them, they just have to make a run for it. The priest, running with his hands covering his genitals looks over at the rabbi and sees him running with his hands over his face. He says, "rabbi! What are you doing!" The rabbi says, "in my community, they recognise me by my face."

If it's a 38 short COLT you can shoot it in a 38 special. There are USPSA shooters who use 38 Short and 38 Long COLT brass to make powderpuff loads. If it is 38 S&W Short you can't shoot it from a 38 special. The case is fatter and shouldn't even chamber in a 38 special.
