Bugsy732 1 Posted February 7, 2014 Added a few things to "Krystal" today. Installed my new Umbrella Corp BCG and a Custom Rail Cover i had made. I love the way she's coming together. Still waiting for my EOTECH to come in. For now there is an EOTECH Clone on her that i have for a 22 build i'm working on.
FLHX 1 Posted February 7, 2014 Just threw on the Troy ambi mag release. Feels great! I love the Troy ambi. I have them in all build ar style rifles even my 15-22.
SgtToadette 59 Posted February 7, 2014 I love the Troy ambi. I have them in all build ar style rifles even my 15-22. It was either the Troy or the Norgon, and the Troy seemed like the better design. Definitely makes lefty life easier!

fumanchu182 23 Posted February 13, 2014 Some fantastic looking rifles in here, was bored decided to take a pic of my new one for here: @SgtToadette how do you like that mag release?
SgtToadette 59 Posted February 14, 2014 @SgtToadette how do you like that mag release? I'm still very new to it and haven't had the chance to use it extensively. I was between the Troy and The Norgon, but I think the Troy is the better design on paper. I had heard reports that the Norgon requires a bit more force to actuate, which was a bummer for me. Some people have complained that the Troy can scuff the receiver, which I couldn't care less about. All I know is that it seems to work well and naturally. Mags fall free with ease and it does exactly what it advertises.
notmetoo 41 Posted February 14, 2014 Finished my dedicated .22lr build today. Not wild about the hand guard (I may just add grip tape), and I'll be making other changes in the future, but for now she weighs just 5 pounds, 15 ounces! (I know, no gas system, etc.) AB Arms handguard, New Frontier complete polymer lower, Tactical Solutions AR-22 M-4 upper, Troy rear folding battle sight, and I forget what grip and comp I used. Yes, needed a comp because the upper came with a flash hider. Maybe I'll make the colors match someday.

notmetoo 41 Posted February 14, 2014 Approximately how much did it run you to put it together? About $600. Tactical Solutions uppers are a bit spendy, but very high quality and accurate. Someone just looking for a fun .22lr AR may be better off getting a S&W M&P 15-22.
OfcrFek 21 Posted February 14, 2014 Thought I had linked this, but I guess I never did. Just finished this build for my father-in-law. Supposed to be like his M16 from the military, just shorter. Note: Like always, that's a NJ legal PINNED 15 round mag!

I did it to my AR when I was running that hand guard and liked the extra room I got out of it..

Arbelest 29 Posted February 16, 2014 I put one on my Stag a few weeks ago and haven't gotten a chance to test it out yet, but I was a little concerned since it was a tight fir putting it on. At least I know it won't move.
