StriderTB 10 Posted April 25, 2013 The most interesting thing is the statistical breakdown at the end of the quiz, showing the various percentages of people who got the question right. Some of the results are frightening.

leahcim 682 Posted April 25, 2013 13 out of 13 I had to re-read several questions though--they seemed to easy and I kept thinking they were trick questions. The distribution is pretty sad, especially when you look at the breakdown by question--less than half answered correctly about relative size of electrons or understood the most basic concept of lasers? And 80% do not have the most basic understanding of the makeup our atmosphere? Of course if it were a quiz on pop culture, hollywood stars, and reality TV I am sure my results would be abysmal. I really don't pay enough attention to that stuff ;-)
JackDaWack 2,895 Posted April 25, 2013 13 out of 13 - better than 93% of the public. They were fairly easy. That's an understatement, the only one people should have had any problem on was the last question dealing with fracking.

JackDaWack 2,895 Posted April 25, 2013 13 of 13 and most real scientists do not believe CO2 is the "chief warming gas". That honor belongs to water vapor and Methane. True, but the question was worded to pick any greenhouse gas... CO2 is actually worse than methane, but ONLY because there is double+ the amount and it stays up there longer..
