May I gently suggest this is why our forums sometimes get a bad reputation? Bob nicely extended an offer to meet face-to-face with some other forum members... and it turns into (excuse my French) a pissing contest over why he should change the venue (ummm, yeah… the venue of HIS event, that he kindly INVITED us to, and that MOST of you complaining were probably not going to attend anyway). If people invited you to dinner on a group email or text, would you reply back to everyone - "Hey, not only am I not attending - but i think that stupid restaurant sucks and you should hold this somewhere else"? No, you would NOT.. because that would be RUDE. (Unless, of course, you're a complete Neanderthal…) How bout this? If you see a thread with an invitation, and you don't wish to go - you could simply keep that thought contained in your own brain - no reason to regurgitate it all over the person's thread. Manners, guys... MANNERS!... for thousands of years, providing the bedrock for civilized communities.

I apologize for my snarky reply and I rescind my dis-invitation - this would be an excellent topic to discuss. I think the impetus for Starbucks response falls under the heading of things the gun community can do, but probably shouldn't. As Sgt Toadette pointed out, they were pushed into a corner by a bunch of yahoo's in Texas that decided to open carry AR15's into a Starbucks - just because they could. Poor judgement that reflected badly on the community as a whole. It is not like Starbucks is trying to subvert our 2A rights like Dick's is - it was just a business decision. I certainly would not be comfortable walking into a Starbucks with my granddaughters, when there are people that are already displaying a penchant for bad judgement in attendance. Sorry to hear about your, apparent, inability to afford underwear. Please join us - commando or not. "Great" isn't necessary - "Your Highness" will do. Adios, Pizza Bob

Removing all of the comments regarding the venue. These are not helping - it's a get together. If you're not going to go or don't have anything nice to say, don't say it.

it should be against the law to mistreat a dog like that.

Yeah, but pitbulls eat little children too, just for the fun of it.

Very true. Just not knowing if the dog will attack is usually a good deterrent. I've been working with my Lab pup (who's coming up on 70 lbs.) to key up and alert to an unknown person who comes by. I had a home improvement door knocker come by last week, and poochie was going nuts behind the storm door. The guy backed way up, and asked if the dog was actually friendly? (Most people assume a Lab might be) I told him, "the last guy who knocked on my door left without one of his arms". The guy didn't hang around long after that comment...

Pizza Bob, I appreciate your efforts to try to pull this together. Much as I love coffee, and most of the members of this forum, just checked to find the location is 90 minutes from me, so I'm not going to be able to make it. If some people from north Jersey would like to pull something like this together, I would be happy to help organize it. And despite their politics, I love Starbucks coffee, and refuse to deprive myself of it to make some statement that no one will know about.

She is right - 100%. I started this thread as a forum PSA and it really didn't invite comment or response. We have held this same event at least four times over the past several years, at the same place, with zero pushback and much gratitude from the attendees for the chance to get together FTF and swap stories and, perhaps, gain a little knowledge. Go; Don't go - I don't give a rat's ass anymore. This forum has transitioned into something I don't even recognize. I thought we were better than this. Apparently I was wrong. We'll be there Wednesday whether you will or not. I would hope that the more civil among you choose to join us. I'm done with this thread. Adios, Pizza Bob @cagefighter - as long as people want to stick around. The store closes at 9:30, but since we'll be outside that really doesn't matter. In the past we've kept these open-ended with people coming and going throughout. I would say 8 PM at a minimum. PB

So it fell out of the glove box at the dealership and somehow opened the garage door at your house a few times over the past few days? I hope you set up a camera to catch the plate of the car before going to the stealership.

Back to orig idea. Go to dealer, confront them, demand to see mechanic and make him realize your onto his game. Come near your home, you consider it intent to harm your family. Can go 2 ways. He can gently be escorted to jail by pd OR you can simply just break his neck if he stomps on your property. I vote for the latter! And by the way, sitting in your garage with a shotgun is not illegal. What you do with it might be. Just seeing you may curve their idea of busting your balls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

this dog does not let go. we get physical with him when on the sleeve/suit, so he knows to get a deep bite and then its locked. you can fling him around and he still wont let go. been training him since 9 wks old to be a protection dog once grown.

Hoping for some details from the ANJRPC and/or counsel but according to the U.S. District Court docket, the ANJRPC's and the State's closing briefs with proposed findings for the judge to make have been submitted. Final arguments were made last week. It would appear that the case has now been submitted to the judge for his decision which could come at any point.

It's death by 1000 cuts. Look at CA, they are constantly introducing firearm bills. There is no end in sight because the end game has always been to legislate the 2A out of existence. In dark rooms any of these guys would admit their preference, no gun ownership by private citizens. Everything they do is reasonable and for the children, same tropes, same playbook, different day.

Triggered would imply an irrational response to something. People having a problem with Starbucks because of various stances they took over the years is just personal preference. You are the one who seems more upset that people dont like the place you chose.

I setup camera and changed codes but after I changed the codes I realized I won't catch them except for a car that slows in front of my house. Which could be a lot since I'm on a somewhat busy road but setback a good distance. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Brings a whole new meaning to the term "stealership". I need to let my buddy who lives in OB know to avoid that place. If the service manager is defending his guy I'd go up the food a chain, or blast them on social media.

Embry is in Prescott, which my wife prefers to Flagstaff because they don’t get the 100” of snow that Flagstaff gets. But Flagstaff is prettier, and the area surrounding it reminds me of central Idaho plus, I don’t think I want to share airspace with that many student pilots :-)

Yeah, who's in? I'm curious! And it would be SUPER helpful - for headcount/food purchase purchases - if people could get on line and sign up sooner rather than later. It would be great if we could assess numbers a week ahead - by the 14th.

If there's a round still in the chamber it would be the extractor not ejector. A broken ejector usually will induce a stovepipe malfunction.

And that is the trouble with NJ law. Technically no modified 15 rounds magazines should be capable of being modified to 10 rounds since they were already permanently modified to 15 rounds to be legal under the law. Sort of a catch 22. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk I think anyone who registers is out of their mind. Registration leads to confiscation. Don't believe it see California. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Maybe that was tongue in cheek, but has anyone ever seen a government-developed IT system that worked even remotely well? Look at Obamacare enrollment or NJMVC. The system you describe would take 12 years to build, cost a few billion$$$ and would still not work correctly. My son could develop it in 1/2 day for a pizza and the cost of GoDaddy website registration, but get gov't involved and there would be too many hands in the cookie jar for it to ever happen.
