3 pointsbiggest concern would be if it was stolen......or if it had been seriously screwed up in some sort of crash or fire, then rebuilt....then titled as home made in order to avoid showing such.

3 pointsAn old friend of mine was one of the suicides at GFH. I wasn't there when he did it, I didn't know that he went to ranges. He was in the army, watched his friend get blown up by an IED thrown at him by people dressed as civilians. A few days later my friend is on guard duty and sees a group of civilians approaching his check-point. Yup, he blew them away, but only vaguely remembers doing it. Spent time in military prison and dishonorably discharged so no health insurance and no access to help. I tried to get him to see a psych, but he didn't think that he needed it. He would disappear whenever he got really depressed, he wouldn't answer his phone or texts, at least from me. As soon as I heard that a guy from Garfield killed himself at GFH I knew it was him. Unfortunately, I was right. He had a good heart, but he had too many demons and virtually no help. I still shudder. I'm so sorry that someone else has gone this way.

3 pointsI don’t wanna dissuade @DTtunerhere. I’d prefer to educate. if your life (or family)is in jeopardy, ergo imminent threat of death or egregious bodily harm you have the right to defend yourself with deadly force. now if someone is stealing your lawn mower or car, and your life is not in jeopardy. No go

3 pointsI think Trump does shit on purpose to rile them up then sits back and laughs at how the idiots in the MSM take the bait. Trump is sly like a fox!

2 pointsJust tell the truth when asked by the Detective. If he charges were dismissed but you didnt expunge it it will still come up every time. Happened to me and they let it go. Never get in any type of trouble again. Spend the 700 bucks and get it expunged. Then you can legally answer NO to anyone who asks about it.
-
2 pointsTrue, but from a legal standpoint, the Chiefs are a throw away. As the judge makes the final call

2 pointsNote rayray is not on his own list, thus making him part of the rest. That's not an accident

2 pointsTitling a manufactured trailer as homemade was often done as people lost registrations on non-titled trailers. I have heard of this in the past, particularly on utility trailers. On an RV trailer I would be VERY wary. Why did he have to title it as home built? If he lost the title why didn't he just go through the hoops to obtain a legit replacement title rather than doing the sneaky (ie cheap) way of going allegedly homebuilt. Also, consider that it is NOT a homebuilt trailer, it's a manufactured trailer with a VIN, therefore titling it as home built may actually be considered fraudulent.

2 pointsHe's a retired fishing boat captan who is completely self taught and makes a living tinkering in his garage and selling at craft shows. Thankfully he has taken the time over the years to teach me a thing or two.
-
2 pointsOff topic but he also made the display case for this knife. He put 200 hours into it. Check out the handle and see if you can guess who the knife and display case are being presented to

2 pointsi've said this in a couple other threads. start a suit to take their ccw's away. if we don't have justifiable need, then they do not. if they have it, then so do we. they are really no different than us. they live in houses in neighborhoods like ours.
-
2 pointsOk now I may have to show up and not let either of you shoot a clay. Of course @Mrs.Zeke will be hitting all hers with her shotty, then how you gonna look @Zeke? Lol, I was at Clinton on Saturday so I might go snowboarding this weekend. @sota I'll also make sure to bring lots of surgery snacks for your son to eat on the way home. By the time you get home the sugar high should be in full effect

2 pointsCan you please post a link where those of us interested in the legal-speak can read the entire Wren case? Thanks

2 pointsI'm just curious. When was the last time an attempt was made on the life of a NJ politician or judge? If it almost never happens, or happens at the same statistical rate as any other person, then, by their own rationale, they don't have a justifiable need. They are carrying simply because they believe they are more important and deserving than the plebeians.

2 pointsI also have the NAA .22LR. I carried it once and somehow it made me feel inadequate to say the least! Griz, I have a .22 magnum cylinder for the NAA that you can have if you need it. It won't fit my LR version

1 pointI'll have to look into the Macaroni and cheese recipes. My kids love that stuff! Okay, "maybe" I like it as well.

1 pointI'm getting some good ideas, thanks! I already do canned veggies, and I like the idea of things like Chef Boyardee canned Pasta (i.e. Ravioli, etc.). It was remarked on one of my FL forums that local grocery stores usually offer things like Chef Boyardee cans for sale ($1.00/can) on June 1st... start of the Hurricane season. And more canned items like Chef Boyardee as well as the house brand canned veggies have "pop top" lids and don't require a can opener. I think they started doing that after Irma. I'm also looking at vacuum sealing rice and other things. I'd like to be able to vacuum seal pasta, but I normally eat Angel Hair pasta which I buy in Nests from Costco. A bit hard to vacuum seal those, and they'd be crushed. I also like the idea of the Ramen Noodle cups... very cheap and filling. I might also consider Spam and other canned meats, as well. I'm probably going to shy away from the classic "prepper" meal products (MREs, Wise / MH, etc.) as they are way too expensive, and I don't need to store the items for *that* long. I'd be willing to cycle everything on a 6 month basis. This is not to say that I might not consider those, eventually, but they aren't needed in the short term. I'd like to limit this to things I can get easily at either the grocery store or Costco... very cheap and things I could cycle on a regular basis.

1 pointIt also attacks the chiefs. Who are they to make the determination of your application being advanced to the Judge? What are their qualifications to determine character? In most towns it’s an appointed job. In my town the chief is the NJSP Superentndant. What does he know about me and mine. We wouldn’t know each other if we tripped over each other. This is way too much unqualified ignorant guess work being applied unevenly and unfairly.

1 pointThanx Guys, I plan to reload but I will start off with the ELD match or some hunting rounds to get the brass. Looking forward to hit the range with this rifle.

1 point"The last thing I want to do after saving, planning, and storing food is to open it and find that nasty little creatures have already devoured it. One way to combat this is to freeze it. I’ve read recommendations from 4 days up to 2 weeks in a deep freeze. That should kill any adult insects and prevent them from laying any more eggs. It may kill the eggs themselves. Another way is to deprive them of oxygen. All insects need it to live, so removing it should cause them to die. That is why many people use oxygen absorbers in their bulk food when they seal it up in mylar bags. Using dry ice can accomplish the same thing. So, keep working on your food stores, but by all means, take the necessary steps to make sure it’s edible when you need it!"

1 pointI’d check the brushes anyway. Sounds like they are pretty old.

1 pointI see no issue with buying a camper that is titled as a "homemade" trailer in VA. I have owned two sneakboxes in NJ that were titled as homemade and never had any issues registering or selling. A title is a title.

1 point...and a box of buckshot can be had for about $2.50 on sale.....

1 pointDo some more research. Cut shotgun shells are very unpredictable in performance.

1 pointBirdshot is not an acceptable self defense round - I don’t care if you are indoors or out. Stop telling people it is. Take your own advice and admit you are wrong.

1 pointBoy did this thread devolve in record time.....Anywho....Zeke just wants me to get that Beretta because he wants to shoot it. Ok then... thats my next purchase, Pinky Swear.

1 pointIf they pass this, it will ban so many commonly used rifles that it just might wake up the Feds and give Murphy the slap in the face he deserves! The PRNJ does not seem to realize that every case against them that gets to Federal Courts could be the one that actually rolls back many of their stupid laws! I hope they keep this crap up and go even further! In the end, the fools may just do more for 2A rights than we ever could!

1 pointI dont have any that are really "miniature". The one you're referring to is a North American Arms SA revolver. It fits in a cigarette pack and while its utility is questionable it is the ultimate hideout that I've carried on occasion. I've got a few 22s and 25s. While some will dismiss them, I share Skeeter Skelton"s opinion. Not the thing to get in a gunfight with but you might be able to bluff your way out. Watch the Reagan assassination attempt and watch how the SS, DC Metro, and James Brady go down. They were hit with 22s. Generally 25s areally more reliable although I have 22s that are the same.

1 pointThere is like 3 guys here I like. Well, 2 and ones brother.

1 pointAnd that has been my ongoing concern; I'm getting whiffs of an energized Dem base and a meh from the GOP.

1 pointYou need to go to a Range tomorrow! Seriously! these things are gonna happen.
-
1 pointSiding with Ray on this one. NJ Castle law says that you must try to remove yourself from the situation if safe to do so. You are not required to leave your house. Certainly if outside the assumption will be that this could happen more easily. If your family is in danger then this would not apply even if outside

1 pointInstant pot is amazing. You can make food in a fraction of the time it takes to make it in the oven or slow cooker. I've made soups, macaroni and cheese, cakes, hard boiled eggs, pot roasts, whole turkey breasts, whole chickens, the list goes on. Bone broth. I save the chicken bones from meals and freeze them. Then I use the instant pot to make bone broth in 3 hours rather than the 24 hours I used to make it in the slow cooker. The food remains very moist and the cleanup is simple. Greatest kitchen gadget I've ever bought.

1 pointCanned tuna and beans. Protein powder. Mixed nuts, plain oats. Hot sauce, mustard, vinegar. Ground coffee. Gallons of water. Dehydrated fruits. For shorter term, eggs last a while too. No need to buy expensive "tactical" food. Shop-Rite Can-Can sale has you covered. Also, think healthy. Slurping down sugary foods, high fat foods, eating too many carbohydrates, etc. is anathema not only to healthy lifestyle, but also to being prepared for a natural disaster or time of peril.

1 pointI have never had to use the Vortex warranty, but I have heard great things about it. Sorry to hear that the product needs return. If you have any issues with the return, please let me know as I am a Vortex brand ambassador. I want to make sure you guys are getting the service you need.
