I grew up with one of the head writers for SNL, I regularly text her and tell her how shitty her show is.

Because we're better marksman than the police, we practice and train more. I guess leo's are more like stormtroopers... they can't hit shit and need the extra rounds. lol

I wouldn't say that makes you special, plenty of people who aren't cops lay their lives down for others....and dont get paid for it.. I appreciate that cops do this, but they are FAR from being the only ones.

We definitely need an organization called "A Million Mags Against Gun Control" or "Everytown for Standard Mags"

As you all can imagine, the past three years of getting this store up and running has been a journey for the ages. I appreciate all of you that took the time to come visit the shop and I know that as we progress through the next year, inventory and atmosphere will be doing nothing but grow. I must also admit that it is my own fault for not getting the word out on the forum and to that I apologize to all myfellow forum folks. As Randolph before, my door is always open to any of you that may have any needs, suggestions and or concerns. The staff here in Union is a bit new so we are working through the small stuff to really make this a great shooting experience for all of our dedicated customers. I am most easily contacted at my email: [email protected] and more than welcome contact from any and all of you. I do not easily forget the suggestions that were provided by many of you in the Randolph location and the growing pains were ALL of ours. This Union location will have similar growing pains and as before, I prefer to hear from you first and try and address it than getting off to a bad start with published complaints before a solution has been examined. If I don't do anything or fail to act, WELL, BASH AWAY!! HA HA Thank you again for backing us over the past seven years and I look forward to seeing you at the range.

My favorite cartoon as a kid was TMNT and my love of ninja hardware started then. Glad to see that soon I can CCW nunchucks in Staten Island soon.

Having spent numerous hours perfecting the craft, I can assure you, knocking yourself out is not really the issue. Self-sterilization is a much higher probability.

This so easily disproven when you look at percentage of hits to shots fired, LEO's vs. civilians that I wonder if ANJRPC used this tactic in their challenge.

My old department allowed us one off duty firearm to qualify with. We are not allowed a back up. I would have been getting rid of any other magazine. I am an RPO and the NJSP allow me as many as I want to qualify. As for gun laws, most of us are against them. I am an NRA life, a lot are. There are those that want civilians to not own firearms. Yes, there are liberal cops, there are administrators that mouth the rhetoric of liberal socialist politicians. We need to stop falling into the divide of them and us. That is what they want. Are LEOs special? Well if being willing to lay down your life for someone you do not know, makes you special? Even retired, we can't get it out of our head.

Reading this thread feels like I've taken a wrong turn down a really weird street. But as for the subject started by the OP, Kerik was on Tucker last night, and he defended the right of lawful gun owners to own magazines holding more than ten rounds.

What about all those years before Nappen was giving his advice? I'm talking back to 1990 not just the past few months. A cop needs reason to stop you first of all. Leaving a range is not probable cause to search your car for >10 Rd magazines. Or anything else for that matter. How many cops do you think NJSP, Prosecutors Office, and local departments do you think they have to assign to "magazine enforcement"? I'm sure Drunk Driving Checkpoints and other operational considerations have a much higher priority. Zero chance? There is never a zero chance for anything. The world is not absolutes. Close to zero chance of getting stopped leaving a range with >10 Rd magazines unless you do something very stupid. Give it time. We'll see who's correct.

stupid idea and one that has been tried by the US, Russia and the UK in the past. An entirely new weapons platform will need to be developed and a new trigger. The Russians were the only ones to successfully field a rifle like this with one putting 3 bullets off of one trigger pull into the same hole but NOT SURPRISINGLY, it wasn't reliable. Army needs to spend this money on further training and stop trying to reinvent the wheel. The m4 series of rifles are more than adequate, reliable, accurate, cheap, and ergonomic

If this is true that the majority of people did not comply, they may as well just go for broke at this point and get a bunch of 30+ rounders in PA/DE. Same penalty as 15 rounds if I am not mistaken. On a related note, most NJ gun owners are too busy with everything but firearms. Most probably don't even have a clue that they're breaking the law.

Everything would be stopping me from the guns I wanted, if I were still in NJ. Machine guns, SBS, SBR, Suppressors, AR Pistols, and all. Oh, not to mention accessories like collapsible stocks, bayonet lugs, flash hinders, normal capacity mags, and all. But the NJ simple and easy process is okay for your duck gun and revolver. Go back to the 1A forum where people tolerate you Fuckhead.

If they made you turn them in the 5A would require the state to compensate you. If they did that, the state would have millions of "dangerous" over 10 Rd magazines they couldn't resell as that would be counter to their argument that they are "dangerous". NJ can use that money for more important purposes as paying lawyers to represent illegal aliens. NJ just says you can't own them in NJ. Replacing them with 10rd magazines? Modifying them for you? Once again it would cost them money. That's asking the state to take care of all your needs. Very socialist. I don't want the state involved in supplying my magazines as I don't want them involved with my guns. If you left it up to Trenton they would provide you with a 1 Rd magazine in a bolt action, no evil feature AR that has 5 safeties you have to disengage before you could shoot it. It would also include a timing mechanism so you could only shoot 1 Rd every 20 minutes. They'd still claim they are complying with the 2A.

Oh boy... =) I do disagree with one main point in the article... " But in an act of mass definace, New Jersey residents refuse to comply." I rather think the more appropriate answer is.... "in an unplanned act of mass defiance due to the majority of gun owners unaware of the law."

Well the end result is to probably keep her name. But after what I just went through at two different Cabelas license and card has to match to the “T”. No other FFL gave me an issue. Too long a story to type on a cell. Maybe when I get home on a key board. And yes @Zeke she’s not a different person now. But once “it” happens they all change. But that’s another thread.

Griz is right..... The original Marlin 60 is now good to go. I bought a long-tube 60 with last-shot hold open from a NJ dealer in the spring for $90. That makes my 3rd 60. The first gun I ever bought was a pre-Remlin 60 SB in 2010. I sold it to Griz a few years back. I got it back from him in a trade and will never part with it again. Thanks again, Griz. It's hard to say no to a good 60.

I have to assume that it also means criminals who have had "the required training". Why else would it refer to them being dangerous? At least we can rest easy knowing the criminals won't be dangerous.

To make it to their current position typically requires a really thick skin. This is the reality that everyone faces when they choose this line of work. In the case of SCOTUS, these judges arent fresh out of law school. By the time they get to that point in th eir career they typically know how things are run. Lets take the flip side of the argument. IF the liberals genuinely believe that us gun owners are a threat, then are there judges skirting the issue and not willing to take on cases that limit our rights? I dont see this happening. When choosing replacements for SCOTUS, they likely vet their picks and go over every detail in their career to make sure they are a solid pick. Given this, its unlikely they would pick someone who has a history of shying away from issues due to it being hot topic.

they make 15 round and 10 round magazines for the glock17, or they could pay to have their mags blocked like the rest of us.

Arlo, Nest, Ring and the other similar products have done to surveillance what Apple did to MP3s, it made it stupid easy to set up. But, it comes at a cost. Having an adorable preconfigured system is better than having no system at all, but I do not trust any of them, especially the ones with cloud storage. Wired cameras where possible and wireless NOT on the same network address space as your home network with strong encryption between the wireless cameras and the video server is far far more secure and private. With Arlo, and the likes, you can never be sure who's watching you.

All three countries you mentioned above are, by definition in the below links, constitutional monarchies. All three have socialist tendencies but are not socialist governments. Sweden falls into the same category. When you have a government that says who gets what, how much, and at what price, that would be the mark of a socialist government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_Canada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_Australia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_the_United_Kingdom

Okay I basically agree with what youre saying but I'll go a little farther. I wouldn't say most cops will act. I'd say nearly all cops will act. While we're very focused on self defense here, justifiably so, there are plenty of situations where cops risk their lives that are not gunfighting. Burning buildings, drowning kids, and many other situations occur where cops risk their lives. How many times have you seen a burning building and everyone stands out on the sidewalk watching people hanging out windows yelling for help? Usually the cops are the first on the scene and they do what they have to do. Firefighters and EMS people risk their lives all the time to help people without gunfighting. So do many private citizens. We can always cherry pick and bring up some isolated incident to make a point. That doesn't make it the norm.

When filling out the form for handgun purchase permits, I would always get to the part where they want 2 references and think to myself.. Am I applying for my constitutional right to bear a firearm like I’m applying for a friggin job.. Needing references for a constitutional right, what BS is this!!! If that’s the case make it ID & 2 references to vote!

I’ve cut back a lot of forums on there for one reason or another, but it is a lot easier then logins/passwords for 10+ forums. A dedicated NJGF iPhone app... I’ll use that instead. Also, would be able to post this well under a minute via Tapatalk. Took me about five, especially with the damn emoji not working off my keyboard (then trying to delete the first one).
